Took the vehicle for annual service. The took it at the scheduled time and explained the needed service. The customer service rep also suggested other service that was coming due in a short period of time so we were able to have that done also saving us time and money. The vehicle was ready for pickup at the scheduled time.

I brought my vehicle in for a chip in the windshield they say they repaired it however I can still see it. My service advisor was not there so he did not go over my appointment with me. My vehicle was not cleaned very well and no one pulled my vehicle up for me. I was left to go find it in the parking lot. Not very pleased with the service provided.

Vehicle in for 3rd recall. Brought in at 9:00am. Promised for afternoon. At 5:00 pm checedon status. Service Advisor left early and Vehicle had not begun serving. Drove over an hour to home . Drove back next day to retrieve. Recalls completed and vehicle returned to service.

We love our new GLC from Mercedes of Sarasota, unfortunately our new relationship with Mercedes Benz has gotten off to a bumpy start since our new GLC has a mechanical issue. That being said, our Dealership team of Ernie W. GM, Serv Mgr Jim F. and Salesman Bill Z. and Tech Bill have been so professional and apologetic. When you purchase a new car you expect it to be perfect but in an environment with 3rd party vendors, supply chain issues etc... sometimes through No fault of the Dealer that just may not be the case. This being our first Mercedes we went into this with high expectations and while we've been a little disappointed we feel our Dealership Team has been our Advocate. We apprechiate the dealer providing us with a comparable loaner while our car's issues are resolved. Our Dealer has done an excellent job of communicating keeping us posted along the way. We highly recommend Mercedes of Sarasota. In this reviewer's opinion this leadership team has extensive Mercedes experience and is truly committed to excellent customer service.

I have been going to Mercedes of Sarasota for over 7 years, and even though they are extremely busy, they have managed to maintain a standard in customer service above any one else. They try Very hard to please me and never fail. Last night at 5 pm my tire was low on air so I dropped in to get air. They examined the tire and found a nail, and then plugged the tire and cleaned my car in less than an hour. I am always grateful for their courtesy and happy to give them this review that is well deserved.

UPDATE: The oil level warning came on… 🤦🏻♀️. They did pick up my car and replace the filter with an OEM part. I was also told I'd receive a partial refund that never occurred - which is why this review is still one star. Full disclosure, I have been a Service Consultant and Service Manager for Mercedes-Benz dealerships. I've done the West Point leadership training, I've been on the Best of the Best trips. I'm EXTREMELY familiar with the ins and outs of MB service processes, pricing and follow-up. The Good: Due to character limit, this is briefer than it should be. Emerson, the Appointment Coordinator, is an absolute GEM. Shawn, the Service Consultant, did his job well. Unfortunately, I can't fill out the MB survey b/c Shawn's pay plan is likely tied to his surveys (rightfully so) and I don't want to potentially hurt his compensation. The OK: I received a text notification that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I replied back inquiring whether I could be sent an electronic invoice to review and pay prior to pickup. I never received one. So I stopped in to pick up my vehicle and Shawn was pleasant. He reviewed the MPI and reiterated the total for the service, quoted prior to completion. I paid and was asked to sign 3 different documents. The Ugly: I didn't actually see the itemized invoice until after I paid. The service cost was unusually high from my personal MB pricing experience but I knew that from the start and I had agreed to the total upfront. I paid for the factory A-service and, regardless of price, it turns out that's not exactly what I received. The labor was priced at $249 (which, by the way, is often what many MB stores charge for parts AND labor, pre-tax). But, hey, they rotated my tires which some stores do not perform as part of the A-service. The parts were extra: $5 for washer fluid, $49 for oil, $20 for the filter. Still ok, I agreed to the total price. But then I saw the store had tacked on a $12.50 motor oil treatment. This is NOT an OEM product, it was added to my vehicle and I was CHARGED for it. Here's the rub: the store is likely getting an additional spiff from the vendor for "upselling" the product. That's an offensive double-dip and it's being casually dropped onto service invoices as a standard procedure. More Ugly: A $37.50 "customer pay fluids/hardware" (ie: shop fee) was also added to the invoice. I was charged $93 for parts and an additional $37.50 that helps mitigate store expenses like fluid disposal. I am honestly not even sure such an exorbitant shop fee on $93 worth of parts is legal - but from someone who has run an MB service department and had to explain the shop/disposal fee to clients, I can say with all certainty that it's offensive. I haven't bothered to take the time to check whether the sales tax was also applied to that $37.50 fee. The Heinous (and by the way, I just dropped my review from a 3 star to a 1-star for this): It turns out the store didn't use a factory oil filter on my vehicle. One of the major value points for servicing a vehicle at the dealership is that they use OEM parts designed specifically for your vehicle. I found a notation on my invoice that said "they offer high quality non-OE parts that are suitable for your vehicle and fit all budgets and needs. If you have chosen a non-OE part it will be identified on your invoice..." Yes, folks, the store made the decision to replace my oil filter with a non-factory filter and charged me MORE than retail price for an OEM filter (which can be purchased from the store's Parts Department for $16 + Tax. I was charged $20 + tax). And now that I'm thoroughly ticked off at this service department's business practices I'll circle back around to the 3 documents I signed when I picked up my vehicle. One of them was a credit card slip. One was the invoice. And the final one was a document that closely toed the line between informing customers about the post-service survey they would receive and COACHING them on how to complete the survey - which is a big no-no. All I can say is WOW.

This Mercedes dealer charged me $400 to add oil to my transmission. This was after I called for a quote, and they told me it would be $50 plus any additional fluid. For about twenty minutes of work. Then they used my fluid and gave me a huge bill. Total rip-off.

I have been servicing my 2018 E400 Cabriolet at MB of Sarasota since moving from Texas to Florida in 2019. They have always done an excellent job servicing my car. My service advisor retired from the company. Steven Appollini is my new advisor, and with my recent service, which was the last before my initial warranty expires, was terrific. Steven had the car thoroughly inspected and found several items that needed to be addressed I wasn't aware of. He had the work performed at no charge to me. I have great confidence in MB of Sarasota and their staff and look forward to continuing to work with them in the years ahead.

What a pleasant surprise. Took my car to Mercedes of Sarasota for the first time. It was such a great experience from the time I arrived until I left the dealership. Had been going to Tampa while in Florida and wasn't happy with their service. My service writer Mike was so friendly and helpful. My car was ready when promised and even had shuttle service from the dealership to the University Mall and back. Charlie was great and very funny...should have been a comedian!! My sister came with me and might consider buying a Mercedes for her next car, because of the great service provided that day. Plus, the dealership was immaculate and the hot cookies were fantastic. The corners of the carpeting in my E400 deteriorated prematurely. My service advisor, Judy, arranged to have the carpet replaced which had to be ordered from Germany. When the replacement carpeting arrived we scheduled to leave town for several weeks. Judy worked with me to schedule a convenient time to drop off the car, had the work performed, then delivered it to my home and stored it in the garage until we returned from our trip. On delivery day, she and the valet who returned the car communicated with me frequently via mobile phone to assure me the delivery was successful. I really appreciate Judy and the great customer she and the team and Mercedes Benz of Sarasota provide. As someone who has recently relocated Sarasota I stopped by the Mercedes dealership here a few times, once to have my washer fluid refilled and another time to replace my wiper blades. I was treated courteously on both occasions. My last visit was for an A1 service on my C300. My service advisor Randi was knowledgable, friendly and made my 1.5 hour stay very pleasant. My car was completed in the estimated time and delivered to me washed and vacuumed. It was a very positive experience!

I recently had my B service on my Mercedes GLB 250 completed at Mercedes of Sarasota. The center performance was excellent. When arrived I was greeted by my service rep who managed my service. She explained that the service would take about 2 hours an offered transportation to my home. I decided to wait and was taken to the Lounge, where they provided snacks and drinks. The Lounge had comfortable seating and access computers. The service was completed early and included a car wash. What else could you ask for.

the service is always good but almost every time I schedule maintenance I am told another service is needed rather than the service that appears on my dashboard. I don't know if they're upselling or if the car just gives the wrong message but it's frustrating to think I am taking it in for an oil change or something minor and it turns out an $800 quote for other maintenance needed.

I have dealt with MB in several states. In each case, my experience has been directly related to my service contact, in this case Lisa Gillespie. She is terrific and simply handles all issues, appointments and is always several steps ahead anticipating problems and having a resolution. She also goes the ‘extra’ mile as I recently was able to take advantage of a sales promotion for new tires which I was unaware. Came in for the A3 service on my 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC300. Every employee I came in contact with was so professional and friendly. My service advisor was very detailed about what my A3 service consists of and made some recommendations on some services that needs to be done in the future. He gave a print out list with cost on what needs to be done with NO pressure. A3 service was not a long wait and the waiting room was very comfortable. When my vehicle was done, they washed it and did an excellent job on it.

Start to finish he was honest and helpful. He is very personable which and made me excited to join the Mercedes Benz club. He even offered to pick me up from the airport when I flew into Sarasota. I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. I booked an appointment for my annual service & to check an electrical issue and said I would wait for the diagnosis & I would get my own ride home if the repair was lengthy. When I checked after waiting 45 minutes, my vehicle was still in the waiting bay. Three hours later I was told that there was an electrical issue and that they had to do further diagnostics to identify the problem. The following day I was called that they had diagnosed the problem and that the estimated repair cost would be $1994. I said that i would think about it and not perform the repair at this time. I asked for a detailed written quote of the recommended repair and to this date have never received one. April 7, 2022 - Update one year later. I took my vehicle to a reputable mechanic in Sarasota. They diagnosed the problem and repaired my Mercedes for under $100 in parts and $500 in labour and have not a had a recurrence of the problem

This truly was a great experience but it really was about being in the right place at the right time with the right people. This was destiny. After visiting Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche dealers in Tampa I was far from deciding what I wanted to buy and the sales people were not helpful at all. I concluded that I am going to have to go outside Tampa to look for a car but now the options exploded. I chose Sarasota due to the nice area and nice drive from Tampa. I called Mercedes Benz of Sarasota and a young sales person, Tucker, answered. I asked about models and availability and he said he did not have any in stock...and then he stopped and said "oh wait, I think they are literally brining one in on the truck as we speak". I was sure he was BS'ing me so I called him out and said "I want to buy it"....and he said "I will get the paperwork ready". Not only did he call my bluff but he drove up from Sarasota to pick me up and drive me back to pick up my new Mercedes. It gets better. If you had asked me to "build" the car I wanted it would be the very one Tucker sold me. They were great. Very professional, no BS'ing or blowing smoke and he actually was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. I do not enjoy shopping for cars and have no patience for sales people but this was truly a great experience. I hope everyone can have the experience I had.

If you?re going in for a scheduled service appointment (dealership is 30 minutes away) and leaving your car (loaners are unavailable so you need to trouble others for a ride) they should at least have the air filter for your service. I had to come back a week later once they got the air filter in and spent another half a day finishing what was to be a simple service. It was done right but why tie up you racks/techs & ME for 2appts? Service should have what they need before I bring in the car!

I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. Let's start with my purchase of a 2019 Jaguar XE; I live in the Lutz area, which is about 2 hours from Sarasota; it was like pulling an arm and a leg to buy this car, but the sales rep who handled the experience was phenomenal; however, after everything was said and done, the vehicle came out to 35,000 dollars. After driving the vehicle home, I noticed a rip in the leather in the dashboard, as well as a picture of the car that belonged on the seat being missing and the lack of a second key, so I returned the vehicle after speaking with the service manager, who explained that he would take care of a second key, gas in the car, the leather, and the part. I immediately told him, "OK, wonderful, thank you very much." As a result, I returned to Lutz and parked the car there. Because of the quick response to my issue, I decided to bring my Mercedes in to be serviced as well, so not only did I drive again to get another car serviced, but I now have two cars at the location because I was duped into thinking they were genuine, so Thomas is a technician who worked on my Jaguar and Shawn Bernett who serviced my Mercedes, and he was initially okay as a service technician and his customer service was okay as well. He explained that it would cost about $5500 to fix the car while confirming what Wesley Chapel had already discovered, so I said no worries, we'll take it one step at a time. Then I get a call saying that they discovered that my abs light is not a battery issue, but rather $3000 parts that would need to be fixed before anything else, but it's back ordered right now, so it'll take a minute, which I thought was fine because it would give me time to get it. Wiper blades, ABS, a new key, and a detail were all mentioned as part of this round of service, so I was like, "OK, that puts me at 4500 with everything, no concerns, I have a little time." So, after two weeks, I called to make a partial payment and spoke with Shawn, I paid 1500 dollars, and no one told me that it was near to being finished for the Mercedes, so I made the money, and not than 5 hours later, I received a text from Shawn saying that the vehicle was ready. Now, I just made a payment and I'm stuck because I'm thinking it'll take a little longer, especially since the part is on back order, so I called and explained that I don't have the full amount and that I didn't realize it was going to be finished or that you didn't even explain that the car would be resolved by the end of the day or even tomorrow at the latest. Then I said, "I'll have the full amount in approximately two weeks." When I called Thomas to check on the status of the vehicle, he said it was ready, but the key was on back order and they didn't have an ETA, but I could come pick it up. I explained to him that it didn't make sense for me to pick up a car that I would have to drive 2 hours away for you guys to program, so you can just leave it there until the key arrives. After a week, I receive a text from Shawn saying that he tried to offer you more time to retain the car, but my service manager had questions. I called Shawn about the Mercedes and then asked if Thomas was around to see if I could just use the loaner for the Jaguar that I had for the Benz until the key came, as I get out of work by 4:00 and had to go to the bank to make arrangements, then drive 2 hours to get there to pick it up, so I called and spoke to Shawn about the Mercedes and then asked if Thomas was around to see if I could just use the loaner for the Jaguar that I had for the Benz until the key arrived. Allow me to speak with my service manager, Shawn explained. So I asked if I could come pick it up even though it's been there for a month and a half since I purchased the vehicle and was making payments on something I wasn't driving yet so I have to bring it back to you guys or can you ship the key closer to me since it's 2 hours away to get to you all, and he said no because the Jaguar is ready just waiting on a key so if you need another vehicle you can pick this one up as well, When I asked to speak with him, he became irritated on the phone and said, "Yea sure you want a full tank and a bow on the car and it cleaned, yeah I'll get you a manager, yeah I'll get you a manager, I haven't received that call yet, but I completed work at the bank and rushed to Sarasota before the service department closed. My girlfriend got off work early because I needed to pick up two automobiles, and I told Shawn that I would collect both cars on Friday. I finally arrived at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota at 6:45pm to try and make it on time, but Shawn was nowhere to be seen, and the service manager never called me back or was available to speak with. Furthermore, my Mercedes was waiting for me, but the Jaguar was not. When I exited the rental, a friendly gentleman greeted me, but I've had it with their customer service, especially considering I have not one, but two automobiles there being serviced, one of which I purchased from them. I asked for a manager and told the person I didn't care; I just needed a supervisor; he became irritated but eventually found me someone who could help me; they did their best with what they had; unfortunately, it doesn't end there. They stated that the director and general manager would be arriving tomorrow, a Saturday, and that they would call me to discuss the matter, so I said I would leave it in their hands. It is now Monday, and no call has been received. I described the situation to you. I explained that I live 2 hours away and that I don't mind picking up the car but that I do mind bringing it back to get a key and program and I asked if I will be able to have the key shipped to a Mercedes or a Jaguar place near me and she explained that a Mercedes key we will not ship I said oh okay, but this is for a Jaguar. They looked at each other and said, "I don't see why not, especially since we'll have to take it to Jaguar to get it done anyways." I was astounded that it took this long for that to be discussed, and that they didn't have a gas card to fill up the Jaguar like I was told, and that it wasn't washed at all, as if Shawn never got it ready for me to pick it up. In addition, they failed to know where my second Mercedes key was, which I purchased, and it was on a key chain with a key that belonged to someone else's car that was programmed for me. We waited until it was settled before I became enraged at the $250 detailing fee and the fact that whatever chemical they used virtually stripped the letters and phrases from the inside of the car. For example, the power button for my radio did not show the on symbol; instead, it showed a white bald spot, the unlock and lock buttons were messed up on both sides, the memory button for setting number 2 was messed up on both sides, the button for max ac as well as turning off the AC was gone, and the leather on my steering wheel was also ruined; they did not explain this to me, so I am disappointed and dissatisfied. Mercedes Benz of Sarasota has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm enraged to the point where I'm amazed that a billion-dollar corporation can try to treat paying customers like this. Not only did I buy a car from them for $35,000.00, but I also spent $4,500.00 to have my other car serviced. Shawn, the service manager, the director, and even the general manager has yet to contact me. We have always received great customer service from the Mercedes dealership we've been long time customers of in Mishawaka, Indiana. I recently sold my business and was in the last leg of the 18 hour drive from Indiana to our new home in Sarasota, Florida. Both our 150 pound dog, Astro and I were antsy and tired and all we wanted was to be at our new home. As we were getting set to exit the expressway, we blew a tire! Fortunately, the exit for our home is the same exit to Mercedes of Sarasota. I arrived looking like a homeless person, with a car full of stuff, including my wine collection and a big dog. We were welcomed warmly and offered cold drinks as they checked out my blown tire. I was told it would be 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I expressed my concern for leaving the wine collection in the heat. Within no time, they had their courtesy van pulled up and they helped me unload a large collection from my car to the van, then drove my dog and I to our new house. Helped unload the wine, picked up a second set of tires I had and brought them back to the dealership. What phenomenal customer service! When the car was ready, we came and picked it up and they had everything ready for us. We expressed our gratitude and told them that Mercedes of Sarasota has already earned a loyal new customer. I expected to get a significant credit on this expensive tire, but because it was over one year since its purchase from this dealership, they only gave me a $75 credit! (March 2022) Our experience with car shopping at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota: A few weeks ago, a family member and I were looking for a decent, reliable car (used or new). Since car prices have lately been substantially higher than a few years ago, it took some time to find something solid yet affordable. After checking a number of different dealers, most of whom had hidden fees behind the showcased prices on their vehicles, we came across Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota. This dealer not only advertised the actual car price, but they also made testing it out and purchasing it comfortable, without pestering us about undesired add-on features. Everything went smoothly for us here. In our case, the employee who worked with us was Tony. He kept everything straightforward, let us see the cars that interested us, and?once we made a decision?helped finish the purchase process so we could be on our way. I brought my E350 in for extended warranty repairs both the end of November and the first part of February before my warranty ended on February 19th. They did diagnostics on the car twice. I had 2 repairs done and they have ordered a new radio for me with no ETA. Waiting. The repairs were done fine and in a timely manor. I have no complaint about the repair work completed. Not a month later I started having transmission issues and the check coolant warning came up on my dash. Seems the Transmission oil pan gasket and filter needed replaced plus a new radiator. The radiator fluid had mixed with the transmission fluid and almost ruined the transmission. Well over $2000.00 later and a week without my car and no extended warranty. Paying out of pocket for these repairs! This should have been found with the diagnostic check of my car in November/December or at least in February when my car was under warranty, but was overlooked. I am sure this extensive repair would have been more than double at Sarasota Mercedes. My mechanics at German Auto Cars on University diagnosed this and are doing the repairs. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the service department at Sarasota Mercedes for not finding this obvious trouble with my car when it was under warranty. I was very specific asking them to diagnose and repair anything needed before my warranty expired. Not a happy customer.

Sales people and service personnel are professional and courteous. Overall, however, the dealership has the feel of what one service professional referred as a "high volume" shop and lacks personal, attentive customer service. It starts with lengthy automated phone answering system and often lengthy hold times. A disappointment from the Porsche, Audi and Land Rover dealerships I have in the past and continue to work with in Sarasota. Months later and no follow up and worse phone service than before. Have tried for days reach them by phone, each time holding more than ten minutes before giving up. Calling this dealership is about as enjoyable calling a cable company. By far the most impersonal, worst phone system of any car dealership I have ever dealt with and would NEVER buy another car from this dealership again. Awful! I am going to have to drive the the dealership, again, just to talk with someone. The miserable service at this dealership continues. The manager has reached out and promised better. Gave me new tech. I dropped my car off for service five days ago. No one has reached out to me to let me know what the status is. I called two days ago and after a "brief" 15 minute hold, reached someone who said my tech was on the phone and would call back. He didn't. Tried calling again today and recording said I was 10th in line. I will yet again have to drive to the dealership just to talk with someone and find out what is going on with my car. By far, the worst service experience I have ever had with any car dealership.

Located the vehicle I was interested on Autotrader. Met with sales associate (Stephen) the same day. I took the vehicle for a test drive and then sat down with Associate to discuss pricing. At no time was there any sales pressure, even when we decided to walk away. I was then contacted about one week later by the sales manager wanting to know how far apart we were. We came to an agreement and purchased the vehicle. All their staff were very professional and courteous.

This was my first time getting my car serviced at a MB dealership. Everyone was polite and courteous . The show room and waiting room was clean and they had hospitality. You could see your car in the service shop, which was nice. The service staff kept me up to date on my progress. It was a bit more than expected but I will keep that in mind for the next service.

Ordinarily I'd provide this feedback privately, but you don't seem to offer that option. The service was fine. I was told it would take about 2 hours, and because you are more than 1/2 hour away from me, I chose to wait. It turned out to be closer to 3 hours, which is OK. But if you have a customer waiting, and particularly if you've run over the estimated time, the complimentary car wash isn't necessarily a benefit. I appreciate the idea of washing the car, but under those circumstances the courtesy would be to ask if I wanted it washed. I would have declined. Just asking would have saved me the time and you the effort. Perhaps you don't want customers to wait, but if you do then I'd suggest this simple change to your protocol. My MB dealer in Connecticut does this and I appreciate the consideration.

Sarasota Mercedes seems to be overrun with clients needing service. Too long to wait to get an appointment and your appointment for a Mercedes predicted time to service, 45 minutes software recall update is not really an appointment. They want your car for the day. When ask my service advisor what does the recall fix, he hasn’t a clue and does not seem to want to be bothered to look it up. I appreciate the limo service to get me home to wait. But I’ll be trying next time another Mercedes location even if further away.

Getting the service Dept on the phone in a timely manner was not possible. The callback feature worked but that?s because I am retired. Before I retired my busy schedule would have made the callback feature unworkable. I imagine most business and professional people have trouble reaching service and may opt for your competitors. Once I was able to talk to your service advisors everything was 5 stars.

I brought my wife's car in because the engine light came on. Lisa informed me that the ME Module was bad. I asked what that was and she said giggly, "I don't know that is what we always call it." She told me that it would be $3700 to replace it. At first I said that I couldn't do that, but realized that it had to be done even though the car appeared to be driving correctly. She said there was only one unit available and it was in Germany and that there was no way to guarantee when we would get it or even if we could. I asked her to check into remanufactured and she said she would call me in a couple of days. I asked her if it would be any problem driving it and she said, "not really it's drivable." I went out to the car which was not in the usual bay area, bu tin the side lot and started it up. I backed out and when I put it in drive to leave the lot, it began running rough. I got it out of the lot deciding that I would just take it home and wait for Lisa to call. During the 10 mile trip home, the car bucked and shifted extremely rough. Eight times the ESP disconnected and the car went into "limp home" mode moving only about 5 or 10 mph. I had to pull over and restart the car to reset the system, which allowed me to drive another mile before it happened again. I was very upset by the time I got home. After waiting two days, I called her and asked her about the remanufactured option. She gave me a website to go to with the intention that I buy an off market unit from an unknown supplier with a dubious reputation. I called her and told her that the website required a part number, which she would not provide. I'm sure that this unit would not be covered by Mercedes warranty and maybe not even installed and programmed by them. She stated that I refused service. How could I refuse service if I was told that Mercedes couldn't get the part? After she got flippant with me, I hung up. It's not the first time that I've gone in to your service department and heard her say, "I'm not going to argue with you" to someone. Now I know why. I called Lakeland, Fields Motorcars parts department. They confirmed the lone part in Germany, but said that they had 32 remanufactured Modules in Jacksonville and the cost was only $1540, which they could get in 2 days. Since we are here in Sarasota on vacation, I had Roadside Service tow my vehicle to them in Lakeland. They not only replaced the module, but found other serious items that required replacing that Sarasota did not tell us about. And, all is covered under Mercedes warranty without using a third party website supplier on my own. Additionally, Lisa tried to get us to do a transmission service, which had already been done a short while ago. Nice work Mercedes of Sarasota. Deficient, rude, and irresponsible by letting me take that car off the lot and not doing due diligence to find the part in the most expedient way.

I was there for my appt at 3:40 for service on my car on Feb 23. I checked in at the counter and I was told Sean would be helping me. I said ok but I have some issues to talk about before they start working on my car. I sat in the lobby for over an hour and then finally got up and asked how much longer. The guy at the counter said there was no record of me and I told him I checked in with you. We both went to Sean’s office and Sean thought I was a no show. Don’t know how that was possible since I did check in. So he proceeded to pull my paperwork out of the trash can. Can that be right? After leaving the dealership, the next morning, common sense told me that the lease payment was way too high to be in approximate APR of 3%, I ran my own simple least calculator online and when emailing the salesman and finance manager to call them out on this lie, the finance manager said to me, "I don't recall saying that", despite me having directly and specifically asking him twice, "... It's actually more like 4%". AS A RESULT, I HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, NOT LIVING IN SARASOTA, to redo all the paperwork using my original preferred method that I had expressed to them, Bank of america, at a purchase rate of 2.09%. even more shocking as a general manager, Ernie, calling and starting off the conversation, not because he was even aware of the LIE, but because of the reviews, by calling it a 'miscommunication' or 'misunderstanding' (also insulting to intelligence and integrity), two terms I've learned in life that people who lie, often used to try to change the facts and truth. The fact he stated he's been in the car business for 42 years, then proceeded to tell me I'm the first customer that's brought to their attention he needs to explain to his sales people in finance manager how to explain an APR in a lease, is SHOCKING & IF TRUE, THAT SAYS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! I want to start by saying Taylor Williams was my service writer and she could not have been more Helpful and Very Professional. That is where it ends. The service Technician gave Taylor a list of things that needed to be repaired. I told Taylor I have a Mechanic that specializes in Mercedes. I'm sure she told your Technician and he realized he had just been caught in a Big LIE. One of the repairs he said I needed was to replace the Timing Cover Seals for $1457. When he realized I was going to take my car to my Mechanic James Foulkrod sent me an email (I don't know if that is the Technician) that he spoke to his Shop Forman and the seals didn't really need to be replaced. I'm pretty sure the Shop Forman didn't even look at my car. It will be time soon to trade my 2016 E400 for a New Mercedes but with this Horrible Experience I wouldn't Consider Buying a car from Sarasota Mercedes. I forgot to mention that I would be Happy to Forward Mr. Foulkrok's email to anyone that would like to read it.

My 2014 E350 has 34000 miles on it. Mostly sits in a air conditioned and heater garage up north. I shipped it to FL. I asked about servicing the car and they wanted to do A 60000 mile service. Did anyone ever hear of spark plugs going bad because of time? Spark plug cost is 15-20.00 ea and they wanted 1000.00 to replace 6 spark plugs, LOL spark plugs do not deteriorate. I ASKED THE LADY IF THEY HAVE A CAR SIT ON THEIR LOT FOR A YEAR, DO THEY CHANGE THE OIL WITH NO MILES ON IT? these dealers are out of controll crazy. The best part they are not interconnected with Mercedes Benz, I bought the car new and they can’t pull up my history. This car is going back up North for the summer use.

I am beyond thankful for Mercedes-Benz. Of Sarasota. I arrived without an appointment at the service department and was immediately asked what I needed. I stated that my notification stated that the rear tire only registered 26. The service man asked for my key and stated they would check it out. As I had coffee in the waiting area within an hour the service man stated it was fixed. I went to the desk to sign the release papers and pay the bill. The cost was $0.00. Unbelievable and I even received a Free car wash! I have told everyone about the great service you receive at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota.

This was my first time at the dealership in Sarasota and it was a beautiful one, very high state of cleanliness at the dealership and you could look out through a window in the waiting area as the mechanic worked on your vehicle and I loved that aspect. Checking the car in and out was seamless. Lisa G explained what services they were to perform on the vehicle. When we arrived home from the dealership, we noticed the car body was coated with spots (ie soap and/or water spots) which we assumed were from the complementary car wash. Weakest finance department in North America! They couldn't get a 695-credit score approved! If we needed a cosigner with an 822-credit score to get better terms that isn't a problem. When we walked into the dealership, we already had the loan pre-approved through a bank that they are signed up with. The salesman said the Finance Manager didn't like to use that bank because it takes forever to fund their deals. That might be true if you don't know what the hell you are doing. They have a checklist of things required to fund a deal. Use the checklist and you have your money on the third day. Instead, they decide to send it to Capital One and Ally Financial. Ignorant! One of the banks does not accept Part Time employees, and the other will not accept a job letter for verification of cash tips. Both automatic turn downs because they don't know their own banks programs. I mentioned that this would be an easy deal to get approved through a local credit union. They never even tried the credit union. So, we went online and applied there, and the loan was an instant approval. The rate was 2.25% for 66 months. The cosigner is from Ohio and the Finance Manager apparently had a bad experience with an out of state cosigner in the past and don't want to mail the paperwork nor do they offer e contracting. I doubt that the out of state customer they had a problem with was a 822 credit score with 41 years at a paid off residence and 17 years on the job. Signing for his niece that is a full time college student on the Honor Roll and working 32-36 hours a week making $3000 a month of verifiable income. Also was putting down $3000 cash but if asked could have put $5000 cash down. The Finance office is not a good place to put your lazy and incompetent employees.

Incompetent and negligent Sprinter service: Brought one in to fix auto lock and no key/headlamp chime. They said software update is guaranteed to fix it. Paid $220 for that and the problems are worse than before! Easy to replicate problem proves they are lazy and incompetent; they didn't even try.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at Sarasota FL MB. I have owned MBs for 15 years and currently own an E350 and a C300. Recently after moving to FL, I noticed that the A/C on the E350 was exhausting hot air on the passenger side (which MBs do when the coolant needs recharging). I made an appointment at Sarasota MB for the service to be performed on 9/15/21. Recharging the A/C cost about $700 (obscene in and of itself). When I picked up the car and started driving home, I noticed that the passenger side vents were in the same off position and still directed outboard / to the right just as I had left them. When I turned the vents on and inwards, they were still still exhausting hot air. When I returned the car, the technician claimed that he had tested the passenger side and then turned the vents back to right and off because he wanted to return car just as he had received it. Come on man! Who would believe that? Then why weren’t they working? He didn’t QA his work and wasted time checking windshield wipers and making others suggestions not relevant to the issue. The problem was corrected. It was explained as a “calibration” that hadn’t place . (Then how did it work when the technician tested it ?). I have never had anything other than spectacular experiences at other MB dealership until Sarasota MB. I would caution anyone reading this to beware purchasing or servicing their vehicle at Sarasota FL MB.

2 for 2 on selling junk cars. I purchased two, not one, but two pre-owned S-Classes from MB of Sarasota over the past 5 years. Both times, without fail, the car wouldn't start after only 2 months of ownership. The first time it happened the dealership worked with me and gave me a new battery, that of course died after a few days because the issue was the alternator - which they wouldn't fix. I just recently spend 50k on an S-Class that came with an "Autonation Certified Warranty", which is 90 days or 4k miles, and less than 90 days, and much less than 4k miles, the car has been at the dealership's shop twice. First the parking brake failed and second, the car now will not start. This is literally the worst dealership I've dealt with. Every single time I go in with any issue (we have 2 G-Classes as well as the S-Class) their solution to an issue is to "buy a new one" versus fixing the actual problem. I'm only one single person, but the fact that virtually the same issue has happened across multiple cars suggests that it's likely a commonly occurring problem with the dealership itself. I'll definitely be reaching out to local news and New Channel 8's "BETTER CALL BEHNKEN" about this, since the odds simply don't add up. Two cars purchased across 5+ years and they have virtually the exact same issues? Seems like they have a plan on how to sell used cars with issues. Also, the negative terminal cover has broken grommets, which suggests they had to jump the car to show it to me, meaning they knew the issue existed before I purchased.

Scheduled service to fix airbag based on recall notice. Called to reconfirm first appointment - they couldn't find it in the system so I rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Arrived for second appt - they couldn't find my appt/name. Turns out, the VIN was connected to another name and phone number - likely why they didn't find it the first time although I did provide the VIN both times. I was quoted a 2 - 3 hour window - returned after 3.5 hours - and while the service wasn't done, they did have time to review the entire vehicle and build a list of items that needed addressed/fixed. I left again and returned an hour later to pick up the car. The service rep, Taylor, assured me that the service lights had all been fixed. The service light is still on - I called and left 2 voice mails to this effect with no return calls. I will be buying a new Mercedes in the next 6 months - will not return here and will not recommend them.

The service was adequate. The ability to get through to the service department was tedious .When I called I was often having difficulty reaching my service advisor. Calling the service dept puts you in a bottomless pit of recordings before you can speak to a human with no way out other than starting over. Given the premium quality of the vehicle one would expect the same from the dealership. The quality of the work was good. I was surprised they do not provide a complimentary wash. The starter button was removed and not replaced where I would find it. The service was complete. It was not delivered in a 5 Star fashion.

I understand we have a pandemic that has scaled things back. However, good customer service should not be one of the things that is skimped on. Scheduled my annual service check up. Apt was for 1030 am Friday .. drop the car off at 945 they say my apt was for 7 am and they will TRY to squeeze me in. All of this was found out after. 30 minute wait to find someone who could help me. I expressly asked for the car to be ready on or before 230 because I had a commitment at 4 pm for a friend . I also asked if they could not accommodate that time frame to please call me before hand so I can make other arrangements. No call, headed to pick up car and just before we turned onto to Clark rd from I 75 at 245 pm received a call from my “advisor” they couldn’t get to my car today but it will be ready tomorrow. I ask in the morning and they state someone will call. Saturday comes no call by 1045 we drive to pick up car because no one is answering phones at service department. I left two voice mails to please call me. Get to dealership no one available my service advisor isn’t in now I am slightly perturbed. I ask the female service advisor if she could help me and she does .. my BILL comes to 500.00 which is a discussion for another time.. The service manager pops up profusely apologizes contributes this to new person .. tells me my car is on the way and offers to credit me a whopping 50.00 and then disappears .. 20 minutes go by. After my car shows up. Dripping wet I attribute it to the rain about a half prior. But .. all the other cars pulling up are dry, Get in the car drive half way home and notice the car wasn’t cleaned the dash board is dusty from driving with the top down the napkin from coffee and the empty coffee cup still there. The car was dirtier then when I bought it in. I am fuming. Monday morning I get a call from the service advisor apologizing for someone not picking up the phone and calling me to tell me my car was ready Saturday. I explain the wait time the dirty car etc etc. He offers to have the car detailed on his dime. I told him I have to discuss with husband and think about it. My husband wants me to drop the dirty car off IN THE SHOWROOM .. hand them the keys .. then wants me to go down the block and buy a new Audi.! I have had Audis, Porsches, Benz’s and a few other high end luxury cars. I am shocked dismayed and actually highly pissed off! My husband gets better service and attention from the Honda dealer for his truck, we get better service from Mazda for the suv.. This isn’t the first time I have had a disappointing service department apt and service with this dealership. I love my little convertible my c300 is a joy to drive .. but I HATE and hate is strong word I HATE MB ofSARASOTA .. where is there another dealer for service in the area ? I am so upset and so annoyed it is beyond comprehension.. irony at its best. Received an email INVOICE in my junk mail today dated FRIDAY afternoon at 4pm. Car was finished Friday!

I took the car in on a Tuesday. The sign said: "Free written appraisal." I picked the car up on Friday because they kept it to do a regular service, fix the trim on the roof for the third time and fix the sun roof for the second time. I never got an appraisal. Instead, I received a recommendation for $3,000 worth of service. The biggest item on the list was tires - I was told when I bought the car they were run/flats. They weren't. I found out the hard way when I had a flat in the middle of nowhere.

1) Part was supposed to have been ordered & in stock..had to wait 5 days for part to arrive while my car sat in service. 2) Took 1.5 hours for service to handle my APPOINTMENT write service ticket ... inordinate amount of time. 3) Had to call multiple times to get through waiting on hold up to 20 minutes for nobody to pick up the phone. 4) Service person was snarky on the phone 5) Could not get updates on a one day repair that took almost a week. Communication is a real problem with this company. Never going back!

My service request was warranty replacement of a molding that FELL off the passenger side door and while the auto was at service, I wanted to take advantage of the 24% off service coupon being offered. I requested an oil change, filter, and normal checks. I did receive a loaner vehicle. To my unbelievable surprise my charge for these services was $311.00 and that included the 24% off!! I realize that Mercedes Benz service is not the corner $19.95 Quick Lube, but $386.00, ie without coupon, for the same type of service requested is ridiculous. Service experience dropped precipitously since my prior visit months ago. Specifically, there was a long wait for my service rep to check me in and a long wait for the loaner car to arrive. Furthermore, the individual who received my car upon arrival seemed to think he was doing me a favor. The service rep was helpful but I must assume there have been major cutbacks in service-related personnel due to "the pandemic", which by the way ended weeks or months ago. It's time for people and businesses to get back to work and stop short-cutting service and blaming "the pandemic". Due to Alfredo, my exceptional salesman at the dealership, I am still committed to this dealership so long as I continue to drive a MB, but everyone needs to stop blaming the China virus and get back to work. No more excuses.

I mentioned in my previous correspondence that I had been contacted mid-day and pressed on a decision on the car. I had already put a deposit on the car with the understanding that would give me time to look at ONE other car I was considering. During the call it was inferred that I was trying to hold this car while continuing to shop for others. I had been quite upfront with both Steve and his direct manager when I was in the shop that I was looking at one other car and wanted to test drive it before making a decision. I feel that my honesty was used to pressure me because one of your employees was interested in buying the car for his personal use. As a customer, I feel it was inherently unprofessional to put me in the situation of competing with an employee for a car I had put a deposit on to validate my interest and give me time to be thorough in my search. During my visit that day and during several interchanges on voice mail and live conversations I was very clear that I had already been approved by Capital One and did not want my credit pulled by any other companies. As a matter of fact I spoke to Stephen when I said I was going to get the car and reminded him of that when he asked me to submit the application on Tuesday evening. I completed everything as requested that night. After not hearing from anyone at your dealership at about 2:30 and spoke with Steven as Capital One had told me they had not received the application. Steven’s response was that they were “too busy” to work on my application. Apparently, they had several customers in the dealership ALL DAY and didn’t have time to work on mine. I indicated to Stephen that I was concerned as Is wanted to make sure everything was in place before coming to finalize the paperwork on the car. I don’t remember his exact words but he told me, not to worry about it and I didn’t need to call Capital One. He said they would get to it when they had time. I asked that since my application had been submitted the night before, I would hope they would be able to work on it soon and asked for the name of the Business Manager. Shortly after this call, I received multiple notifications of credit inquiries hitting my report. I noticed one of them was Ally Financial. I have to say, this made me sick to my stomach. When I called Stephen my calls went to voice mail. I left him a text message and then called Jason Killenbeck (name given to me by Stephen) again, call goes to voice mail. I tried several times to reach them and no responses. Mr. Killenbeck then called back later and indicated that it was an error on his part, but no big deal because they came in with a better deal than Capital One. As a customer, I had been very clear on what I wanted, and it was completely ignored, then brushed off as no big deal. When I took delivery of the car, I had to request the car be cleaned, then ask for the owner's manual. The saleperson previously mentioned put little to no effort in providing service. Overall a bad experience.

Service department tries to upsell everything from the moment you step inside. Service reps are overbooked and don't follow up in a timely manner. My car was filthy when returned to me -- I washed it myself when I got home. Kept my car nearly a week while waiting for a replacement second key fob. Did not tell me why there was a delay. I had to call to check on my car multiple times. Added a phantom battery drain to the diagnostic results which I declined (no check engine lights, no codes, no dash warning, no actual battery drain observed!). An independent mechanic says this drain does not exist. Although the price of the parts and work was fair IMHO, because of the constant upsell, lack of follow up and returning my car to me absolutely filthy with bird droppings (it was clean when I drove it in), I don't recommend this dealership at all and will not be going back.

Had B service on my GLS580. Dealership seams very frantick. I was standing in line to make a service appointment , when It was my turn they said they only made service appointments by phone. I drove 30 min to get there, so I went home and called. They never filler washer fluid, had to return. They never cleared the B service from my screen. I had to youtube it. This was my first purchase of a Mercedes-Benz and the experience was amazing. Our sales person Bill was very professional and helped us enormously with the decision of which model was the best fit for our family. There was never any pressure to buy or lease. Bill answered all our questions. After 3 visits and multiple test drives, we decided to lease an A Class model. Bill spent over an hour with my son going over all of the features in the car and helping him set up all the communications. Many thanks also to Jason in financing for all his help and very informative answers to my questions. A truly wonderful overall experience. I definitely recommend that you visit here if you are interested in a Mercedes.

I came in for a oil change and was talked into a wheel alignment , (seemed to me a bit of over kill with a car with only 20k miles) when I got the car back it was very noisy ?? one tire had sculled edge. Only repair was to replace 3 tires and realign car........total for what I thought was only going to be a oil change about $1000.00 and I didn't need the oil change. I was looking to replace my other car but will no longer buy one with runflat tires.

The car was in the shop for 4 weeks. Extensive work was done inside and outside the car. When we got the car back it was absolutely filthy. We couldn't even leave the dealership without having to wipe down the windshield inside and out. Using covid-19 excuse to not clean the car is absolutely absurd and unacceptable. We were very unhappy with the condition of the car when we received it.

My experience was horrible at this place they have my car for 3 days to check on two lights that was on. One of them was because of a recall but they still charged me for both lights. When they give it back to me it come out whit an other light that it wasn’t on when I take it over, the service representative tells me that I can come back the next day because al the mechanic left. Now after 6 days the recall that they supposed be fixed it pops up again. I been calling and leaving voicemail no body answer back.

I had a recall to do. Had an appointment time and courtesy car booked. Went at the appointed time only to find that nobody quite knew who to see. It took me 30 minutes to get the right person and another 15 minutes to get everything done. So 45 minutes plus the 20 to get there made it over an hour. Problem really was you have to go to a certain desk with a certain named person instead of a central location. So a little frustrating especially when this is a Mercedes dealership.

The Eco start/stop feature in my 2018 GLC 300 was malfunctioning and the dealership gave a thorough check-up before deciding that it needed major work on the fuel tank. Parts availability slowed the work a bit, but the loaner car provided provided ample compensation. the work finished, my car was returned in great shape, with the feature working well.

I decided to have the Mercedes Dealership in Sarasota repair my 2000 SLK-230 as the top would not properly open. They were able to fix the problem by adjusting and lubricating the cable connection that locked the top at the windshield. I had an appointment for today. I arrived on time and after waiting 30 minutes, I was informed that the car I was interested in was not there and nobody knew where the car and its keys were. Just before arriving, I received a text message reminding me of my appointment so everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, the car was gone when I got there. I went home and checked online if the car was still available but it was marked as sold (although the seller told me it was still available). They lie, waste your time and don't even want to apologize unless you contact them for an explanation. It is not a professional place at all and I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. ZERO STARS!!! The dealer is fine and the customer service was fine. However, the new car we just bought doesn't live up to the previous MB SUVs we have had. The backup camera was faulty and had to be replaced. There was no charge, however, we have never had to bring any other MB car in for anything other than maintenance. A random beeping happens also and they don't know what it is. We will have to bring it in when they figure it out.

Additionally as a result of dealing with this unexpected wait time, I was also late for an appointment that was scheduled for half an hour after my drop off. Service on this Airstream Atlas (MB Sprinter)was punctual and comprehensive. In our previous experiences with MB service (we have two MB cars) it has been standard to wash the vehicles before delivery. Since this vehicle is a Sprinter, perhaps dealer does not have a proper car wash, but it was returned quite road dirty. An. service representative named John took nearly an hour out of his schedule to review all the electronic workings of the vehicle, including NAV and other systems. The we greatly appreciate. John was thorough and professional in all respects...thanks John.

We typically do not enjoy the experience when having a vehicle serviced but that is no longer how I feel after the professionalism displayed by Brent (sp?) while having our E350 serviced the other day. Wow, talk about taking care of the customer, and ensuring we understood every aspect of the service and what we were entitled to from our prepaid services and warranty... I won’t go into details, but that is not the experience we had at the Clearwater Mercedes dealership. We bought this car for a reason, and service is a continuous process... it’s not about the sale; service is where the relationship grows. Great job... thank you.

Although Sarasota Mercedes purports to be an AutoNation dealership with no haggle pricing I just attempted to purchase a used SL600 advertised in in Autotrader with an AutoNation logo listed at $19,995 and the GM Ernie said it was a “mistake”. He’s over riding the AutoNation pricing and attempting to get a whopping $35,000 for the car and I’ve filed initial complaints with both AutoNation and Edmonds.

My back passenger tire light kept coming on even after adding air as well as a weird service light “auxiliary battery”. I contacted James and he said no appt needed and that they could fit me in. I came in and waited and it didn’t take long. They ended up finding a nail in tire on the interior where I couldn’t see it. I was thankful they fixed that ongoing issue. The staff was friendly. Only issue I had was there are signs posted as you pull up that read “ no complimentary car washes at this time due to Covid “. Seeing the signs made me not think twice to tell the advisor not to wash my G Wagon because it’s got a wrap on it. They can’t be taken through a car wash so I always tell them to note the ticket but why would I if they have those signs posted? When they pulled it up I noticed water dripping.. I inspected it the best I could and didn’t see anything major but that was scary to say the least.

I was traveling from Jacksonville to Naples when I noticed an unfamiliar noise/ vibration.I thought it was possibly a tire issue. We are on our second new Mercedes in 2.5 years and I’m sure our next will come from there as well. Dean is our go to in sales and we always felt taken care of and happy with the deal. Jason is our service advisor and makes everything seem so effortless. We just picked the car up because there was some condensation in both headlights. We assumed it was going to be an issue as my Cadillac Escalade has the same problem and My dealer told me “it will go away when they dry out”. Jason said no problem and got it taken care of with absolutely no issue.

This was my first follow up courtesy checkup where they rotated my tires and check all fluid levels. I reported I was getting an intermittent error on the radar sensors saying they needed to be cleaned. They checked it out and it turned out all that was needed was a software update. Very pleased and happy with the service provided.

I needed both a radiator and transmission repair and I had my vehicle towed to Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota. I was initially contacted by Service Advisor Brian Wagner who explained my options and then I was also contacted by both Service Manager Jim Foulkrod and Ernie Withers the General Manager. Their assistance was invaluable and even though I was a first time customer I was impressed with their professionalism and sincere desire to assist. The repair was made and I have become a fan of their dealership who I will continue to use for service or a purchase in the future.
