I decline, came back with a check from my bank at 5%. I say this because not only did I get a better offer but even with a check it took me 5 hours to get out of the dealership. The finance guy wasn't to pushy with the warranty options. He asked a couple times but I was firm and said no. He left it alone. Overall, I think the transaction took way to long since I had my own financing and check but the salesman was great. I also got a good deal on my purchase. As for my trade in. Not the best but not the worst.

Brought my AMG GLE 43 for service jan 24 as per 9am appointment. We suspected something was wrong with the tire ( hubby told them it may even need a new tire). Didnt hear back from them at all, we called and spoke to service person at 2:20 pm and was told car was just in the shop then and that customers who wait for their cars at the dealership have priority over customers who leave their car there regardless of appointment time. Was told they would call back when they looked at the car and should have it back by end of day. No apologies for lack of follow up or feedback. I phoned back at 6:50 pm and was told car was in shop but no one was there to assist me. My husband went to pick up the car this morning as nothing had been done to it at all and we heard nothing back from the dealership. Service guy said situation was with the service manager now, who we have not heard from either! Mercedes and Auto nation ( whoever auto nation is) will be hearing about this terrible service! We are Canadian and my car was purchased in Canada, but we also did buy a used car from then to leave down here at our vacation home. We might have been understanding if we had received followup/feedback or a phone call at least once during the day or evening. Don’t go there for car service!

The work on my ML 350 was performed as scheduled and a loaner car was provided as promised. Work performed was satisfactory and car was available for pick up as promised. The dealership is great looking and clean but check in did not go as planned. I waited weeks to have a loaner car, but they ran out of loaners with the person ahead of me. They did accommodate my request by getting a car from Enterprise at their expense. That took extra time to wait for that. Enterprise brought a Ford Mustang for me to drive, kind of fun but I'm only 4'10" and it didn't fit me to see over the hood and drive safely. Because I had a loaner, my service appointment went to the end of the line because others were there and waiting for service. I ended up keeping the loaner car overnight.

My tire had a slow leak which needed fixed. I called Mercedes Benz of Sarasota at 10 AM and they made an appointment for me at 1:00. My service advisor Glenn took my info and showed me the customer lounge were I could observe the technician work on my car. I couldn't believe the quality care the technician provided. Besides repairing the tire he checked all the tires, did a recall check, reviewed a list of check points and topped off the fluids under the hood. When done my car had been washed and dried. Wow. I was just happy I could find someone to fix my tire but I got the royal treatment.

I brought my Smart car for 2 in for service and I also had a problem with turn signal on the right side back . They changed the bulb but no one checked to make sure it was working. So, I had to bring it back another day. They changed the bulb again, and said it must be an electrical problem. E Well that’s why I went there. He said the car is ready it is on the other side of the wall. So , I went there opened the door and the front seat had been moved and the battery was sticking out , they didn’t finish the job. I went back in the building and told him everything is still apart. His reaction was totally uncalled for. He said, I didn’t notice it. It is to small .The poor fellow who was working on it, was looking for the car so he could put it back together. He was with a client and thought it was very funny. I hope I never have to go back there.

I was on vacation and arrived in Sarasota. On the way to check in to the hotel, my GLE 53 got a flat. I stopped by the dealership and explained my dilemma to the service manager. It was 5pm, but he said, “I’ve got guys here till seven, let’s write it up and get the car back.” Ninety minutes later I was leaving the dealership with two new tires mounted and balanced! I've been coming here since I moved to Sarasota in 2020, and I'm usually satisfied with the service and turnaround. However, this last trip has me seething. I called service to see if the weather stripping on my driver side window can b fixed and is under cpo warranty. I found out I had to actually stop by the dealership to get this answer. Ok cool. Appointment made. And it STILL took 2.5 hours for them to tell me 'no, it's not covered'. Absolutely absurd!

Smell of gasoline in/around car and oil leak in garage made me call Mercedes immediately. Although the first person I reached told me to drop off the car for repair in a week's time, I requested that I talk to my regular service person since it's an emergency. Steven understood the situation and advised that the car be towed to the dealer, but I said I'd drive it myself. Despite a long line of cars waiting service, within a relatively short time, the mechanic replaced the fuel line and oil filter. Thank you Steven, thank you Mercedes.

Google only allows you to give 5 stars, but Sarasota Mercedes earned 10 stars with me! I have been searching for the perfect EQS for 6 months and finally found it online in Sarasota. Karrina took me serious from the moment that I called and helped me get everything I needed to make the decision remotely. She coordinated everything for me and setup time for me to come complete the transaction. They were ready for me when I got there, and even though I was early everything went perfectly! This was the fastest and best car buying experience I have ever had. If that was the end of the story, then it was a 5 star experience. Somewhere along the lines there was a pricing error, but the dealership and I had already signed on an agreed price. Instead of making a big deal out of it, they honored the price no questions asked. The earned my trust and I will be a customer for life, even though I live 250+ miles away. I will never buy another Mercedes anyplace else. Trust and integrity seem to be in short supply these days and it was a pleasure to find this entire team absolutely brimming with professionalism. If you live in Florida and are looking to buy a Mercedes, do yourself a favor and come to Sarasota to make your purchase.

Took RV sprinter van in to have 2 recall updates made. Service was done well. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that it was assumed by the mercedes service agent that because I said I could "drop off" the RV, I could leave it there for days. My assumption was that this meant that I would not have to wait in their lobby. We are full time RVers which meant we would have to find hotel accommodations. LESSON LEARNED: Always inform the service rep that we will wait on site for our RV. Hopefully LESSON TAUGHT: when a customer says I can drop off the vehicle, always explain that means that they may want to keep the vehicle for a few days. I was accommodated but only with stressful negotiation.

The car is great. The dealer service not so much. During the required first annual service they failed to adjust the computer to stop the “need service“ notifications from continuing to pop up each time the car started. Calling the My Mercedes number was useless. I am sure they could have told me how to turn it off. But, they insisted I needed to take more than an hour out of my day to drive to the dealership to fix it. To their credit after I raised hell they sent somebody to my home to make the adjustment. But, I shouldn’t have had to be a jerk to get proper service. Not a pleasant experience. The problem is that the Sarasota dealership has no competition within 50 miles if you want the brand. I have a friend who switched to Cadillac because the local service was so much better. Mercedes should rethink using Auto Nation as their franchise dealership in SRQ.

We picked up our Mercedes R320 from having it serviced on Wednesday evening, December 28 and put it in our garage. When we next needed to use the car on January 2 it would not start and there was a huge puddle under the car. Mercedes sent a tow truck yesterday but have not yet been able to look at the car to see what is wrong. We have no idea when we will get the car back because no one is returning our calls. They told me my alternator needed to be replaced for $1750. I told them I would do it later, took it to another shop near my home who said they could do it for $1000. After inspecting the alternator, they said it was fine, no need to replace it. So they straight up lied. This place is clearly very shady.

AMAZING job by our our sales guy, Stephen Williams. You want a great salesperson who listens? One who explains? One who will work with you to make sure you get exactly what it is you're looking for? CALL STEPHEN! He made the deal happen and got the perfect vehicle for us. The only negative is the detail department is not on the ball. Picked up a new car that still had dirt on it and wasn't completely wiped down on the inside. But again, our fabulous sales person to the rescue! He got the car in tip top shape and made sure we were 100% satisfied before we left. I have owned 3 Mercedes before this one and always had top notch service from those dealers but Sarasota Mercedes Benz is a the TOP of their game!

No personal interaction from service advisor. Just a paper pusher and nonbeliever. No greeting just looked at me. Told him my name and I was there dropping my cars off for appointment. Told him what was wrong then grumbled and said show me. I guess he did not want to get out of his chair. Next I got sign here that was it. When the car was done I got a txt no call no interaction from the service advise. When I came back to pick up the car he handed my keys and said sign here again told me no charge then told me you car is outside. Not in the service drive . I went off to find my car. Not customer service oriented at all. When I take my daughters Corolla to the Toyota dealership such a different experience. Toyota give is a 5 star experience. Best I give Mercedes Benz of Sarasota is 1 star for there service advisors. I will say the Mercedes service technician did a great job.

Standard service was well performed with no surprises. One suggestion for improvement is to implement a text or email communication when car is ready. Service tech are always overwhelmed and instead of a call saying no issues and car is ready a text or email would be fine and then a more thorough review at pick up.

Mercedes Benz of Sarasota is where I bought my vehicle in 2017 and where I always have it serviced. They assign you an account manager who makes sure service is scheduled as needed and that everything runs smoothly, including reserving a loaner card if needed, letting you know estimated time service will take, and advising of any repairs up front. My manager, Steve, is the best and goes above and beyond to help with questions. Their pricing is competitive and their waiting facilities very comfortable. Unfortunately for the first time in all my visits there I encountered a rude employee when returning my loaner vehicle on 12/6/22. I stood at the desk for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement of my presence whatsoever and finally had to ask if he was aware I was there. He said yes and he was in the middle of something. He then went back to what he was working on. This is the one and only time I have ever encountered anything less than wonderfully courteous customer service. I would highly recommend this dealer to family and friends.

It was a bit disappointing that when I dropped my car off that the two young men who should have either signaled to me or come over , but instead they continued talking. I had to ask if I was suppose to pull up. When i returned for my car I tried to signal to the young man bringing it up to stay before the overhang. He brought it under and then told me to back up. When I told him what I tried to do, he just looked at me. A bit disturbing.

As usual, I had an excellent service experience. Though my car had to be taken by flatbed on Sunday evening, Taylor called me Monday afternoon to report that a problem could not be identified. When I insisted that the car wasn?t driving properly, she willingly agreed to keep it for another test run. It was during this test run that the problem - a failing power steering pump was identified. The issue was resolved & by Wednesday, I was on my way in a repaired, freshly washed car.

On our way home, we got a flat tire ... only place that could help us and was close by was Mercedes Benz in Sarasota. We called at noon and the friendly receptionist was able to get us an appointment at 2 pm. We drove on the run-flat tire to Sarasota and when we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and helpfulness. Had a good experience at Mercedes for our first time there. Was directed to the service leader Chris Robinson and he explained the technicality of the repair, how long it might take and likely cost. The price was very high but this is Mercedes! The car took longer than advised to be returned but Thanksgiving was in the middle. The final price was slightly more than anticipated but by then we were committed. Over all I’d say the level of service is very good, professional and courteous, as you would expect and want from Mercedes. We will take our car back for future servicing.

I had the “A” service completed and all went well. I also asked to have my driver side seat belt fixed as it stoped retracting after you take the seatbelt off. I was told that is how it works so the latch does not break the window, and if I want to replace the belt it would be $2000 and it would soon not retract as well. After one google search I found there is a problem with the seat belt and it is a recall that should be fixed. Again, I was told “that’s how it works, it’s normal”. Sounds like a major safety issue to me that was not addressed properly.

Was told the service would take at least 4 hours, so I would need to drop it off. When I ask about a courtesy car, was told the first available car was like a month and a half. I understand the shortage of vehicles but it creates problems for me to have someone take me to the dealership and bring me back to pick it up. I also own a 2013 VW beetle. When I have it serviced the dealership provides a loaner or courtesy transportation to take me home and pick me up when service is complete. I guess I just expect more from from Mercedes!

We bought our 2014 C250 2 1/2 years ago from MB of Sarasota and the car has been a gem. We got a recall notice, made an appointment immediately, and took the car to this dealer. Everything went as smooth as it could. We were about half an hour early but they were able to accommodate us and the car was ready about 45 minutes early. Everyone we met was courteous and friendly from our adviser Brett to the staff who stopped to pat and ask about our puppy Trixie. We are snowbirds so take our 2014 C250 in once a year for an oil change and other maintenance items as needed. I can't imagine a dealer being any better than this one. The facilities are A-1, they even have a quiet office area with computers and wi-fi. 11/17 update: The guys and gals here have and still are moving heaven and earth to get everything done right for me. And after a horrible experience realize how good this team is. Thanks team, I'll be bringing the CPO I purchased from another brand in here to get a mercedes CPO instead. Fyi, the GLS 450..if you buy this, be careful you will start to love that vehicle I swear! Lol. Moving back to 5 star. 11/8 update: (fyi if you read this whole thing I'm impressed!) Had a very positive and hopefully productive conversation with Scott. Apologies were given all around for strong words on both parts. Amending to a 3 star with hope of further amendments to be determined in next day or so. 11/2 revision: unfortunately i have to change my view to negative after my last experience. A couple weeks previous to hurricane Ian my vehicle had been in for a bit on an insurance issue. They were not only fairly unhelpful there, but when i got the vehicle back several parts were broken. Those parts cause multiple warning lights to go off. For 2 weeks tried to get some answer then Ian came. This was the main larger vehicle for our family and because it was not safe to drive we were not able to evacuate with the vehicles we had left so ended up staying. I live in Charlotte county, lots of damage but relevant to this review is fact if we would've evacuated if mercedes was ok, we would've also saved our other vehicle as well as my mother in laws would still be useable (total loss fyi, and too small to use as primary vehicle, was a Fiat. Mother in laws is little Sentra. There's 6 of us not including animals and 3 of 6 are over 6 ft.). 1st time I hear back is over a week after the hurricane happened and because of the hurricane this unsafe vehicle is our only mode of transportation left. When I heard back they were going to get me in in around 3 wks but never confirmed a specific date. And as of day before yesterday the car is not running reliably enough to use. So had to rent a dang car, just to get basic stuff done. I reached out to them and today 2 days later is still have heard nothing. Catastrophic failure of customer service. I was passively looking for a car, needless to say that has become an urgent priority...and chances of me buying there are slim to say the least. If they reach out i will update but as of now - 1 star. ORIGINAL REVIEW (NO LONGER VALID): live in Port Charlotte, about an hr away, so we've tried the indy mechanic route since who wants to drive an hour +, right? I do now. The level of service is unmatched, I was blown away by how accommodating they were. Plus they have a 2 YEAR warranty on the work they do (parts and labor). Lastly, their knowledge of a Mercedes is head and shoulders above the rest. If you're going to spend the money to drive a Mercedes, trust me it's cheaper, in the long run, to bring it to folks like these who will keep it in top form for many miles.

I spoke with salesman Peter on the phone about a particular used vehicle and trading mine in for part of the purchase price. He answered all of my questions and I then arranged to drive out to the dealership in Sarasota from my home in Miami. I called to set up a No drive repair for a recall on my 450 GL. The person who specifically scheduled those appointments was not there. They said they would call back but never did so I called again. I’m out of town so I tried to schedule when I was there but they were booked for a couple of weeks. I drove in with the car on the day I was in town and planned to leave it for the repair but they told me I would have to leave with it because they were booked and had no place to keep it. They did call back later that day and said I could come in and wait for a check but it may take 3 hrs. I brought it in and waited an hour and 1/2. When I was turned away the first time I asked about a car wash but they were too busy to check for availability. They definitely seem overwhelmed in the service department in general

Had the pleasure of working with Tucker Kittle. Tucker made purchasing my new Sprinter Van very easy, seamless, and stress free. What I liked most was how accessible Tucker was communication wise. Employees ignore my calls and messages- even after I spoke to the manager who doesn’t seem to be competent! - Sale and finance documents took 3 hours for presentation despite of me pushing them to go faster and telling them I had to pick up my daughter at school… cold blooded.. pushing me to buy extended warranty and other products.. they didn’t stop until I threatened to cancel the whole deal! Overall: not a great buying experience.. If I had more time, I’d definitely shop somewhere else!

Ordered a new M-B SUV, the delivery went smoothly if a tad long overall but there's a LOT of new electronic features to learn and control vs. our previous vehicle so that should be factored in. All the paperwork was handled quickly, and the service dept is quite impressive for its cleanliness, as seen through a glass wall. Got multiple follow-up communications from dealer after we took the car home to make sure everything was fine. They even have someone to come out and code the new car to our garage door opener but we think we can handle this ourselves. We believe they are interested in and actively pursuing excellence in all aspects of their operation. Nobody's perfect, but they are dedicated in their efforts and kudos to Mercedes Benz of Sarasota for that!

As always, the service advisor Brett was terrific and kept me posted on a daily basis. The only issue I had is that the problem I had should have been identified and resolved when the vehicle was there a month ago for a related problem. If working on the fuel pump of a car, you would think that someone would check that the float was operating properly so that the gas gauge is accurate. Running out of fuel when the gauge still shows plenty of gas could have caused a disaster on a major highway. Expected more from Mercedes.

We were satisfied with Bret, he was the service man that oversaw a recall for speed sensors, and a transmission flush. We were not happy to see the warning symbols come on for the abs and two other symbols, on our way home. I called Mercedes of Sarasota this morning telling them about the problem. From what I read on line, this is related to the speed sensors. We have been getting this sprinter ready for a trip to Missouri to pick up our Granddaughter, for Thanksgiving. We were scheduled to leave in about a week. I'm hoping this can be taken care of as soon as possible. It would have been 5 stars, if not for the problem of warning lights coming on. Twice I have brought my car there and both times disappointed . The first time I had a tire that needed repair . They told me they could do it in two weeks. The lady and I don't know her name was not rude she was Nasty . The second time I had my car towed there. That process went well. When I came to pick up the car he had me sign some forms that he never gave me a copy of. There was a very visible check washer fluid warning that nothing was done about. Said something about a recall but did not explain it. My drivers side seat belt is clearly defective. nothing said. When "Concierge" brought me the car he told me it it was parked under a tree. Car was filthy dirty. Car wash was offered but by that time I just wanted to leave . The only reason it wound up at that dealership was because Roadside Assistance which took 6 hours to get there wanted to charge me $400 to tow the car where I wanted it to go. A car dealer friend once told me that cars not bought at the dealership do not get the same service as those that were. Maybe Mercedes shoud put that in writing in the waranty.

Have tried to telephone a sales rep continually and was put on a never ending phone loop. Had new tires put on. One does not hold air for more than 2 days. Had to drive to dealership because “no one answers the phone. Once there, was told I had to wait TWO weeks to get service. Two weeks I have to drive around on a tire that will not hold air. Shame on you! You should have taken care of me asap… that day! I guess once they have your $1100.00 for new tires, any problem is my problem, not theirs.

The check engine light came on my car so I stopped in on a Monday to see if anything could be done. Randy advised me they would try to get to my car but could not make any promises. I totally understood since I did not have an appointment. Well, they did get to my car and fixed the issue. Not only that, they performed the service that I had previously scheduled that coming Wednesday saving me another trip to the dealership. Randy was very polite and helpful throughout the process. When I went to pick up my car, a customer in front of me was complaining her car was not washed. Even though Randy explained there were issues getting the door open, the customer kept complaining (in an entitled manner, in my opinion) and Randy remained polite and professional throughout the conversation. I would like to mention the gentleman sitting at the first service desk was not too helpful and was more interested in his cell phone (it could have been a work phone to be fair). This first impression was not great, but Randy quickly turned that around.

Mercede's of Sarasota has a lot going for it. #1, it's part of the AutoNation group of dealerships, one of the very best such groups in the U.s #2 the facilites are modern,, extremely customer freindly and immaculately maintained. #3 thier "upfront pricing policy" helps you understand both the need for and pricer of each line item on your service invoice at the time you drop your vehicle off at the dealership. Although very expenseive, the fuel filter replacement for my vehicle ($504.00) was explained to me in deatail by top notch service advisor Brett Farucci. As a result, there were no unpleasant surprises when it came time to pay my bill when I picked my vehicle later that same day. I am privileged to have had a close professional relationship with AutoNation founder (now retired) Mike Maroone for many years, even prior to the existence of AutoNation. He has always beeen a man of exceptional integrity and character. Although it is not often that I would apply those same terms in describing a automobile dealership, Mercedes Benz of Sarasota is one such instance. This is a first rate dealerhip by any measure. Our experience at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota, I had a lazy intake person whose name was Chris Robinson. The only thing he did was return calls. I have to add we had car shield and that was a nightmare but that wasn’t our fault. My car was at Mercedes-Benz for two months because they weren't receiving the right documents from Mercedes-Benz. but what I didn't like about Chris was Car shield did not pay them for three labor hours so what he did was charge us for the three labor hours that Car shield did not pay him for. Then something else happened to the vehicle when it was at Mercedes-Benz he said it got wet inside we had this car for two months it has rained and we never had any problem with water getting inside the car I’m just thinking he said that to get money from us. People please check out your Labor hours with this place cause they would tell you it takes 4 hours and it only takes 2 hours. So before going to pick up our car he said water got inside of the vehicle somehow so when we came to pick up our vehicle he never could show us where the water came in at he wouldn’t even get off his butt to show my husband where the water came into our car my husband asked him to show him where water leak in Chris wouldn't show him! Chris took three labor hours from us because CarShield didn't give it to him! So we had to have Progressive go out there to look at the car and when Progressive went out and Chris told Progressive it takes less than an hour and then he told us it took four hours so he stole three labor hours from us that her couldn't get from car shield but car shield told us to be careful when we go get the car causes Chris might try to charge us for 3 labor hours and he sure did just that! that's called stealing and made my husband pay for it and he would not get off his butt to show my husband where the damage was I really thought it had something to do with skin color cause why he treated my husband so bad that he did not want to show him where the damage was and he told my husband oh it’s somewhere you can't see it and my husband not going to see it.but he would not get off his butt and show my husband where the damage was and we didn't have that problem before I think that is bad I don’t think he could of treat nobody else like that. so I went in I spoke to the supervisor which is Jim and he took care of everything and he gave me another service advisor which was wonderful but we are still having a problem with the car that we never had before. I had to take the car back again to them! This has been a very bad experience. I hope Chris starts treating people better because he has no customer service Experience. well he wasn't good with us and we were nice to him. it’s just sad that everybody can’t get the same treatment... Although it was painfully to set up the service visit, I felt welcome and well attended at the arrival. It was a service visit and I waited 2,5 hours in the waiting area which I consider to be fair for the job. Coffee and water are available in the waiting area and few times someone was going to bake cookies on the microwave leaving a nice smell in the area. Unfortunately those cookies were never offered to the people waiting ...they were probably just for the new buyers... Once the service was completed, it took 1 minute for the service advisor to handle me the papers, to ask me to sign them and to accompanying me to the door without taking the courtesy to explain what was actually done. I have my services prepaid but I would consider normal to receive a minimum explanation of the work performed. After 3 years of being a Mercedes customer, my feeling is that there is definitely more attention to the new buyers than to the existing mercedes owners.

My first time at Sarasota Mercedes Benz after moving to LWR a couple months ago. They appear to be owned by AutoNation. It was awesome and everyone was very pleasant and experienced. Glen helped me w my car, Jason Finance Mgr helped me with extended warranty Info, and Peter B. leasing mgr helped me with info on my current 2018 car model and how much longer it would be around. Lot's of other great info and things to think about on trading it in or keeping it rolling w a warranty. Even workers by the coffee maker were happy. I don't think you can fake that and none of them seemed cheesy. Great stuff and they are my Mercedes dealership now.

Lisa Gillespie is an awesome service advisor. She responded immediately to my need to reschedule my appointment due to hurricane Ian. She explained the service charges in advance and the maintenance timeline was met. On the down side, the loaner that I used had been tarnished by a previous smoker and it was not pleasant. I suggested to Lisa that the leadership team including the loaner manager create an extensive "Do Not Loan" list to create accountability in the contract. I can only imagine the deterioration in the value of a vehicle when this happens.

I had a great salesman, Bill Zimmerman. He worked out difficulties with Autonation of Wesley Chapel. Wesley Chapel (Vinnie) wanted to charge me sticker + $10,000 for an EQS 450 +. This is a replacement vehicle lost in Hurricane Ian. Bill indicated that is against company policy and he could get me the car at sticker price. Vinnie also told me that since the car was in Wesley Chapel that the car had to be purchase there. That was also false. I had no reason to drive an extra 1 1/2 hours to pick up the car. I did find that the tire pressure on all 4 tires was low driving back to Naples and that the socket flap was inoperable causing me to take a new car to Mercedes of Bonita Springs. At least I have a car because of Bill! Not sure about Autonation.

I brought in a vehicle with electrical damage due to water getting in through the sunroof, and I finally picked it up a few weeks ago after several months. I’ve taken it on just two 1hr trips since and it drove just fine, but as I was getting back home on that last trip.. my sensors went off again! Warning light and ABS sensor. I’m assuming the part they replaced is defective so it will be going back to the shop.

Absolutely terrible service. Left my vehicle before the hurricane and they said they would let me know in 2 days the status of my vehicle. 2 days passed no one gave me a call. Ive been calling about 100 times a day to reach them before the hurricane to know if my car will be safe with them or if I could pick it up and put it in the garage for the hurricane so no damage happens but couldn't get ahold of them at all. I have the managers card and tried calling him too. Absolutely no updates on my car, no one and I mean no one picks up!!!! Haven't heard anything in a week already had to call the fort Myers location so they can try to transfer me after the 4th time they picked up and said my car has been ready to pick up the whole time and that there are no issues with my car... even though my ac doesn't work half of the time. Rude customer service and they dont care about you or your belongings.-

First, this review is not meant to "not recommend" mercedes of sarasota, rather its meant to point out an issue and my recent experience with service. I had a small interior trim piece fall out in passenger foot well. I brought the vehicle in and asked them to fix it during an oil change or some other maintenance service. few days later the trim fell out again, so I came back and pointed out that it's not fixed. advisor looked at the trim and said that since there is glue on it, they would not be able to do anything. said that I should not have tried fixing it myself or put any glue on it. well, I did not, they "fixed" it by gluing it and then blamed me that I did it. anyway, I spoke to another advisor and explained the situation, and she agreed that it should be replaced under warranty. when I came in again to get it fixed that advisor wasn't working and I asked them to look into notes, surely everything would be explained there. I waited for nearly 2 hours and was told again that since there is glue on the trim, they cannot replace it and I would need to buy a new one. what a waste of time. not only my time was wasted but the incompetent advisor's who couldn't just tell me ahead of time to talk to same person who didn't make any notes from my previous visit. I was told that someone would give me a call to resolve this but to this date nobody called, instead keep getting emails to write a review. so I did. otherwise service can be organized, quick and comfortable, not sure what gone wrong here.

3/30/22 This truly was a great experience but it really was about being in the right place at the right time with the right people. This was destiny. After visiting Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche dealers in Tampa I was far from deciding what I wanted to buy and the sales people were not helpful at all. I concluded that I am going to have to go outside Tampa to look for a car but now the options exploded. I chose Sarasota due to the nice area and nice drive from Tampa. I called Mercedes Benz of Sarasota and a young sales person, Tucker, answered. I asked about models and availability and he said he did not have any in stock...and then he stopped and said "oh wait, I think they are literally brining one in on the truck as we speak". I was sure he was BS'ing me so I called him out and said "I want to buy it"....and he said "I will get the paperwork ready". Not only did he call my bluff but he drove up from Sarasota to pick me up and drive me back to pick up my new Mercedes. It gets better. If you had asked me to "build" the car I wanted it would be the very one Tucker sold me. They were great. Very professional, no BS'ing or blowing smoke and he actually was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. I do not enjoy shopping for cars and have no patience for sales people but this was truly a great experience. I hope everyone can have the experience I had. 7/29/22 Once again MB of Sarasota came through with flying colors and proved to be the exception. I had a small warranty issue with my '22 MB I purchased from them in March. I scheduled a service appointment with Chris Robinson to assess the issue and returned a few days later when the new part came in. I was in and out in a few hours but enjoyed the convenient amenities including coffee while working on my computer. It actually was an enjoyable experience but the most valuable part was, once again, they did not BS me before, during, or after the scheduled work and performed above and beyond my expectations. I picked up my car, which had been washed and dried, and left in a really good mood. Thanks Chris. I would have tipped the mechanic who performed the replacement and person who washed my car if I could. 9/20/22 Actually enjoyed driving from Tampa to Sarasota for my 6 month scheduled service. They were eager to answer several questions I had about the vehicle and returned valuable recommendations regarding maintenance and upkeep. The best part is being able to see the pristine workshop through huge glass windows in the plush waiting area. Relax and enjoy.

I very rarely give a maximum rating so don't feel bad. Sales was very good, smooth, professional. The only improvement would be to pay the dealer DIRECTLY for a vehicle and not have to go through all the baloney of getting a loan and so on. An altlernative would be to hold a vehicle on the lot, either with a downpayment or deposit while the funds could be wired.

Recently had my car at AutoNation Collision Center for a repair. While there the battery and the rear SAM died. Car was taken to Mercedes of Sarasota for SAM replacement and calibration. My Service Advisor, Brett, is a godsend. He had the problem taken care of properly and promptly. I HIGHLY recommend Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. I DO NOT recommend AutoNation Collision Center!

After being promised the vehicle would be delivered by May of 2022, when August of 2022 came and I still had no vehicle, I began to shop around. They nickel and dime you to death. They don’t honor the quoted price for parts. Got a Aux Battery replacement they charge another 60% of the battery cost to install it, which only takes 3-5 minutes, and a disposal fee of $25 when I could have disposed of it for free at the station on Lena Rd. Don’t buy a battery at M/B of Sarasota you will get taken with all the extra costs. I’m now looking for another garage with qualified M/B mechanics to service my car. I did replace a damaged wheel at the same time and got what I expected at the cost I was quoted including the cost to remount and balance the tire. I was always willing, and expected to pay a higher price going to the dealership to get the correct parts and service. But, the last couple of times I did they always seemed to come up with recommendations for additional work they would cost thousands even though some of the services were done by them in earlier service visits, and not done well if I needed them done again.

I should come back Thursday and be prepared to leave the vehicle for 2-3 hours. I asked if I could make/ needed and appointment and Chris quickly told me know. My husband took off a half day from work to take me the hour trek to the dealership and leave my vehicle for 2-3 hours. We went to lunch , went to his office and after 2 hours I called to check on progress. The person answering the phone couldn?t give me any information. The phone randomly at Chris?s extension long enough that it was sent back. They said he was with a customer but he would call me. An hour later ( 3 hour point) no call. I call back and they said Chris was busy but they would email him to call me. 30 minutes later he goes! My vehicle had ? not been seen and probably would not be on this day. ? My husband and I went to pick up the vehicle. I didn?t know when I could waste another day doing this again anytime soon. I really wanted to speak to Chris. He tried to avoid me by having someone else bring me my keys. I decided I?d like to wait and chat. Meanwhile I asked to speak to service managers. They were both unavailable. Chris spent another 13 min on current phone call, likely hoping I?d leave. When he finally hung up, I asked him why he didn?t let me know of the issue so I could at least pick up my vehicle. He has no answer. I asked him what his plan had been for keeping me updated. He gave a pompous and uncaring smirk. I have never seen such an embarrassing excuse for service at a high end dealership. GO TO TAMPA!!! This place is a poor excuse for what Mercedes claims to provide!!!!!

I took my car in for regular service. I live over one hour from the dealership so I made my appointment for the first day that they had a loaner available. When I got to the dealership they were out of Mercedes loaners because other customers had not returned their loaners on time, so I had to wait for over 30 minutes for a rental agency to come pick me up to take me to their lot to get a car. They didn't have a car ready so I had to wait for them to clean one for me to use. I was not happy. Of course Mercedes paid for the rental but when I returned it to pick up my car, they also gave me 10% off of my bill for my inconvenience!

I recently bought a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA from another dealership and had an issue with the sunroof the day I got it. The dealership I bought it from refused to help me so I contacted Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota, they were very professional and helpful and were able to fix the sunroof, there was an issue when I picked it up the first time but they took it right back and were able to fix it free of charge. We took our car into the dealership for a service A. They were extremely nice and very helpful. They kept us informed and would 100% recommend the people in the service dept. Here is why I would never go back. We had a check engine light on. It turned out we needed a crank case vent tube. They quoted us 2500$ for that replacement. 2000$ for the part and $500 for labor. Fcp euro has the genuine MB part for $82 shipped. $1900 markup is not ok. Everyone is struggling with rising costs and that’s the tactics they use. You should be ashamed.

Only one thing that make me less happy is they charged me extra $59.95 because off I canceled the appointment on 7/7/2022 without let me know at the time they gave me the bill. Brought car in on a Thursday as an Emergency as the AC blower went out. I was headed out of town to check on sister in the panhandle who has Alzheimer's, so I really needed the AC in the south as it was very hot. I had to meet with her Doctors, I had no choice. My advisor was not able to get to it that day and was out of loaner cars. But the service advisor did not tell me they had an arrangement with a car rental company to provide temporary vehicles when they did not have any available. I found this out on my own. We could have easily spent 300-400 hundred dollars if the car rental company had not told me. My car is a leased vehicle so I expected a temporary vehicle since I was not able to use my leased car, especially in an emergency. That was my only complaint. Everything else went smoothly and they repaired my car the very next day. But I was not able to pick it up until that Monday. I saw that my service advisor was overloaded, being fair to him, but I felt that he should have been more forthcoming with offering that information about the rental car.

A C300 convertible!!! Alfredo, our wonderful salesman, showed us all the many features and the test drive went great! I was so happy with my first Mercedes that I bought a GLC300 the very next week! Our 2018 C300 was signaling that the car was overdue for an A service (at about 28k miles). When making the appointment, we were informed that we really needed the B service, which is normally applied at around 20k miles. The cost of the B service was quoted at $750; the final cost was $760.34, so close enough. Upon reviewing the invoice we received at pickup, the top lines of the service report details said that the B service multipoint inspection was not completed. We asked about this and was informed that the service was incorrectly coded into the computer and that the multipoint service was actually completed. So why didn?t the service manage catch this? The hours needed to flush the brake system were not noted on the invoice, just the cost; I consider this an incomplete detailing. Several warranties came with the brake flush, but they were not noted on the invoice, only verbally. I consider this another oversight. No indication if the tires were or were not rotated.

I bought my Mercedes’ cl250 2019 on 4-12-22. I paid cash and bought an extended warranty along with a maintenance purchase. On June 1 I ran my wiper blades only to discover they needed to be replaced. I called and made an appointment to have them replaced and was told I would have to pay for a new pair. Now mind you, I have had my car for less than 2 months. My car was also Pre-owned certified. I called and spoke with Randi and she was not willing to help me. I called back again and was transferred to a manager, who was not available so I left a message and I’m still waiting for a call back. Needless to say I drove an hour to the dealership and bought new blades on 6-9-22. So I’m leaving negative feedback, because apparently the day I wrote the check for my car was the end of my personalized treatment.

Service department is more focused on up charges for service work; windshield wipers, DEF Fluid… I Brought my 2016 MB Sprinter Motorhome in for annual service; oil change, inspection……as I have done for 5 years. Service department more focused on trying to sell me new windshield wipers and DEF fluid instead of doing their “professional service”. Windshield wipers are only 2 years old and working fine…. They tried telling me that my DEF was low… comical as there is no DEF gauge or dip stick… I just filled it up until it spilled out 10 miles before I dropped it off. I Pick up my MH, drove it home and proceeded to do my “standard check list” before heading out on the road. Tires pressures were all off the manufactures recommendations…. I had to inflate myself… scares me to thinking if they did all the other work/inspections… brakes, suspension…. This process took several days but Taylor arranged with Kyle Leete, the Loaner Vehicle Coordinator, for me to have a loaner car during the service time, which allowed my wife and me to continue our visit in the area. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone, and the highest compliment I can give them is that "I wish they were much closer to my home in VA!

We love our new GLC from Mercedes of Saraota, unfortunetly our new relationship with Mercedes Benz has gotten off to a bumpy start since our new GLC has a machanical issue. If you?re going in for a scheduled service appointment (dealership is 30 minutes away) and leaving your car (loaners are unavailable so you need to trouble others for a ride) they should at least have the air filter for your service. I had to come back a week later once they got the air filter in and spent another half a day finishing what was to be a simple service. It was done right but why tie up you racks/techs & ME for 2appts? Service should have what they need before I bring in the car!

I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. Let's start with my purchase of a 2019 Jaguar XE; I live in the Lutz area, which is about 2 hours from Sarasota; it was like pulling an arm and a leg to buy this car, but the sales rep who handled the experience was phenomenal; however, after everything was said and done, the vehicle came out to 35,000 dollars. After driving the vehicle home, I noticed a rip in the leather in the dashboard, as well as a picture of the car that belonged on the seat being missing and the lack of a second key, so I returned the vehicle after speaking with the service manager, who explained that he would take care of a second key, gas in the car, the leather, and the part. I immediately told him, "OK, wonderful, thank you very much." As a result, I returned to Lutz and parked the car there. Because of the quick response to my issue, I decided to bring my Mercedes in to be serviced as well, so not only did I drive again to get another car serviced, but I now have two cars at the location because I was duped into thinking they were genuine, so Thomas is a technician who worked on my Jaguar and Shawn Bernett who serviced my Mercedes, and he was initially okay as a service technician and his customer service was okay as well. He explained that it would cost about $5500 to fix the car while confirming what Wesley Chapel had already discovered, so I said no worries, we'll take it one step at a time. Then I get a call saying that they discovered that my abs light is not a battery issue, but rather $3000 parts that would need to be fixed before anything else, but it's back ordered right now, so it'll take a minute, which I thought was fine because it would give me time to get it. Wiper blades, ABS, a new key, and a detail were all mentioned as part of this round of service, so I was like, "OK, that puts me at 4500 with everything, no concerns, I have a little time." So, after two weeks, I called to make a partial payment and spoke with Shawn, I paid 1500 dollars, and no one told me that it was near to being finished for the Mercedes, so I made the money, and not than 5 hours later, I received a text from Shawn saying that the vehicle was ready. Now, I just made a payment and I'm stuck because I'm thinking it'll take a little longer, especially since the part is on back order, so I called and explained that I don't have the full amount and that I didn't realize it was going to be finished or that you didn't even explain that the car would be resolved by the end of the day or even tomorrow at the latest. Then I said, "I'll have the full amount in approximately two weeks." When I called Thomas to check on the status of the vehicle, he said it was ready, but the key was on back order and they didn't have an ETA, but I could come pick it up. I explained to him that it didn't make sense for me to pick up a car that I would have to drive 2 hours away for you guys to program, so you can just leave it there until the key arrives. After a week, I receive a text from Shawn saying that he tried to offer you more time to retain the car, but my service manager had questions. I called Shawn about the Mercedes and then asked if Thomas was around to see if I could just use the loaner for the Jaguar that I had for the Benz until the key came, as I get out of work by 4:00 and had to go to the bank to make arrangements, then drive 2 hours to get there to pick it up, so I called and spoke to Shawn about the Mercedes and then asked if Thomas was around to see if I could just use the loaner for the Jaguar that I had for the Benz until the key arrived. Allow me to speak with my service manager, Shawn explained. So I asked if I could come pick it up even though it's been there for a month and a half since I purchased the vehicle and was making payments on something I wasn't driving yet so I have to bring it back to you guys or can you ship the key closer to me since it's 2 hours away to get to you all, and he said no because the Jaguar is ready just waiting on a key so if you need another vehicle you can pick this one up as well, When I asked to speak with him, he became irritated on the phone and said, "Yea sure you want a full tank and a bow on the car and it cleaned, yeah I'll get you a manager, yeah I'll get you a manager, I haven't received that call yet, but I completed work at the bank and rushed to Sarasota before the service department closed. My girlfriend got off work early because I needed to pick up two automobiles, and I told Shawn that I would collect both cars on Friday. I finally arrived at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota at 6:45pm to try and make it on time, but Shawn was nowhere to be seen, and the service manager never called me back or was available to speak with. Furthermore, my Mercedes was waiting for me, but the Jaguar was not. When I exited the rental, a friendly gentleman greeted me, but I've had it with their customer service, especially considering I have not one, but two automobiles there being serviced, one of which I purchased from them. I asked for a manager and told the person I didn't care; I just needed a supervisor; he became irritated but eventually found me someone who could help me; they did their best with what they had; unfortunately, it doesn't end there. They stated that the director and general manager would be arriving tomorrow, a Saturday, and that they would call me to discuss the matter, so I said I would leave it in their hands. It is now Monday, and no call has been received. I described the situation to you. I explained that I live 2 hours away and that I don't mind picking up the car but that I do mind bringing it back to get a key and program and I asked if I will be able to have the key shipped to a Mercedes or a Jaguar place near me and she explained that a Mercedes key we will not ship I said oh okay, but this is for a Jaguar. They looked at each other and said, "I don't see why not, especially since we'll have to take it to Jaguar to get it done anyways." I was astounded that it took this long for that to be discussed, and that they didn't have a gas card to fill up the Jaguar like I was told, and that it wasn't washed at all, as if Shawn never got it ready for me to pick it up. In addition, they failed to know where my second Mercedes key was, which I purchased, and it was on a key chain with a key that belonged to someone else's car that was programmed for me. We waited until it was settled before I became enraged at the $250 detailing fee and the fact that whatever chemical they used virtually stripped the letters and phrases from the inside of the car. For example, the power button for my radio did not show the on symbol; instead, it showed a white bald spot, the unlock and lock buttons were messed up on both sides, the memory button for setting number 2 was messed up on both sides, the button for max ac as well as turning off the AC was gone, and the leather on my steering wheel was also ruined; they did not explain this to me, so I am disappointed and dissatisfied. Mercedes Benz of Sarasota has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm enraged to the point where I'm amazed that a billion-dollar corporation can try to treat paying customers like this. Not only did I buy a car from them for $35,000.00, but I also spent $4,500.00 to have my other car serviced. Shawn, the service manager, the director, and even the general manager has yet to contact me. Since car prices have lately been substantially higher than a few years ago, it took some time to find something solid yet affordable. After checking a number of different dealers, most of whom had hidden fees behind the showcased prices on their vehicles, we came across Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota. This dealer not only advertised the actual car price, but they also made testing it out and purchasing it comfortable, without pestering us about undesired add-on features. Everything went smoothly for us here. In our case, the employee who worked with us was Tony. I brought my E350 in for extended warranty repairs both the end of November and the first part of February before my warranty ended on February 19th. They did diagnostics on the car twice. I had 2 repairs done and they have ordered a new radio for me with no ETA. Waiting. The repairs were done fine and in a timely manor. I have no complaint about the repair work completed. Not a month later I started having transmission issues and the check coolant warning came up on my dash. Seems the Transmission oil pan gasket and filter needed replaced plus a new radiator. The radiator fluid had mixed with the transmission fluid and almost ruined the transmission. Well over $2000.00 later and a week without my car and no extended warranty. Paying out of pocket for these repairs! This should have been found with the diagnostic check of my car in November/December or at least in February when my car was under warranty, but was overlooked. I am sure this extensive repair would have been more than double at Sarasota Mercedes. My mechanics at German Auto Cars on University diagnosed this and are doing the repairs. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the service department at Sarasota Mercedes for not finding this obvious trouble with my car when it was under warranty. I was very specific asking them to diagnose and repair anything needed before my warranty expired. Not a happy customer.

Getting the service Dept on the phone in a timely manner was not possible. The callback feature worked but that?s because I am retired. Before I retired my busy schedule would have made the callback feature unworkable. I imagine most business and professional people have trouble reaching service and may opt for your competitors. My SLK 55 had a check engine light which was diagnosed & serviced in a convenient timely manner. Brett Ferrucci explained the issue & pricing clearly. Parts were ordered and installed. I had a cracked windshield and called Mercedes of Sarasota and talked to Randy, she ordered a windshield for me Which took almost 3 weeks (but this is not Mercedes’ fault - our world we are living in now with the supply and demand) window was installed and they got a car rental for a day (as the window Has to sit for a night) and the next day my car was good to go. I took my Mercedes Slk 280 into Sarasota for the first time. My service coordinator Taylor was wonderful to work with. She covered all bases and I was Always able to communicate with her. When I had a question about a required service she had the tech explain it to me. He was always very helpful but I didn’t get his name. Taylor also fixed me up with a loaner since the work took some time. The waiting room is clean and nice with refreshments. So I was very pleased with Sarasota and would highly recommend them. Salesman, Peter, and finance manager, Jason, both outright lied to me four different times when I specifically and directly ask and then asked to confirm, that the approximate APR of the lease Factor was 3%, something that Peter initially represented to me. After leaving the dealership, the next morning, common sense told me that the lease payment was way too high to be in approximate APR of 3%, I ran my own simple least calculator online and when emailing the salesman and finance manager to call them out on this lie, the finance manager said to me, "I don't recall saying that", despite me having directly and specifically asking him twice, "... It's actually more like 4%". AS A RESULT, I HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, NOT LIVING IN SARASOTA, to redo all the paperwork using my original preferred method that I had expressed to them, Bank of america, at a purchase rate of 2.09%. even more shocking as a general manager, Ernie, calling and starting off the conversation, not because he was even aware of the LIE, but because of the reviews, by calling it a 'miscommunication' or 'misunderstanding' (also insulting to intelligence and integrity), two terms I've learned in life that people who lie, often used to try to change the facts and truth. I am beyond thankful for Mercedes-Benz. Of Sarasota. I arrived without an appointment at the service department and was immediately asked what I needed. I stated that my notification stated that the rear tire only registered 26. The service man asked for my key and stated they would check it out. As I had coffee in the waiting area within an hour the service man stated it was fixed. I went to the desk to sign the release papers and pay the bill. The cost was $0.00. Unbelievable and I even received a Free car wash! I have told everyone about the great service you receive at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota.

Checking the car in and out was seamless. Lisa G explained what services they were to perform on the vehicle. When we arrived home from the dealership, we noticed the car body was coated with spots (ie soap and/or water spots) which we assumed were from the complementary car wash. Weakest finance department in North America! They couldn't get a 695-credit score approved! If we needed a cosigner with an 822-credit score to get better terms that isn't a problem. When we walked into the dealership, we already had the loan pre-approved through a bank that they are signed up with. The salesman said the Finance Manager didn't like to use that bank because it takes forever to fund their deals. That might be true if you don't know what the hell you are doing. They have a checklist of things required to fund a deal. Use the checklist and you have your money on the third day. Instead, they decide to send it to Capital One and Ally Financial. Ignorant! One of the banks does not accept Part Time employees, and the other will not accept a job letter for verification of cash tips. Both automatic turn downs because they don't know their own banks programs. I mentioned that this would be an easy deal to get approved through a local credit union. They never even tried the credit union. So, we went online and applied there, and the loan was an instant approval. The rate was 2.25% for 66 months. The cosigner is from Ohio and the Finance Manager apparently had a bad experience with an out of state cosigner in the past and don't want to mail the paperwork nor do they offer e contracting. I doubt that the out of state customer they had a problem with was a 822 credit score with 41 years at a paid off residence and 17 years on the job. Signing for his niece that is a full time college student on the Honor Roll and working 32-36 hours a week making $3000 a month of verifiable income. Also was putting down $3000 cash but if asked could have put $5000 cash down. The Finance office is not a good place to put your lazy and incompetent employees.

Incompetent and negligent Sprinter service: Brought one in to fix auto lock and no key/headlamp chime. They said software update is guaranteed to fix it. Paid $220 for that and the problems are worse than before! Easy to replicate problem proves they are lazy and incompetent; they didn't even try.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at Sarasota FL MB. I have owned MBs for 15 years and currently own an E350 and a C300. Recently after moving to FL, I noticed that the A/C on the E350 was exhausting hot air on the passenger side (which MBs do when the coolant needs recharging). I made an appointment at Sarasota MB for the service to be performed on 9/15/21. Recharging the A/C cost about $700 (obscene in and of itself). When I picked up the car and started driving home, I noticed that the passenger side vents were in the same off position and still directed outboard / to the right just as I had left them. When I turned the vents on and inwards, they were still still exhausting hot air. When I returned the car, the technician claimed that he had tested the passenger side and then turned the vents back to right and off because he wanted to return car just as he had received it. Come on man! Who would believe that? Then why weren’t they working? He didn’t QA his work and wasted time checking windshield wipers and making others suggestions not relevant to the issue. The problem was corrected. It was explained as a “calibration” that hadn’t place . (Then how did it work when the technician tested it ?). I have never had anything other than spectacular experiences at other MB dealership until Sarasota MB. I would caution anyone reading this to beware purchasing or servicing their vehicle at Sarasota FL MB.

Arrived for second appt - they couldn't find my appt/name. Turns out, the VIN was connected to another name and phone number - likely why they didn't find it the first time although I did provide the VIN both times. I was quoted a 2 - 3 hour window - returned after 3.5 hours - and while the service wasn't done, they did have time to review the entire vehicle and build a list of items that needed addressed/fixed. I left again and returned an hour later to pick up the car. The service rep, Taylor, assured me that the service lights had all been fixed. The service light is still on - I called and left 2 voice mails to this effect with no return calls. I will be buying a new Mercedes in the next 6 months - will not return here and will not recommend them.

The service was adequate. The ability to get through to the service department was tedious .When I called I was often having difficulty reaching my service advisor. Calling the service dept puts you in a bottomless pit of recordings before you can speak to a human with no way out other than starting over. Given the premium quality of the vehicle one would expect the same from the dealership. The quality of the work was good. I was surprised they do not provide a complimentary wash. The starter button was removed and not replaced where I would find it. The service was complete. It was not delivered in a 5 Star fashion.

This is my first Mercedes after my family has driven them for decades. I love my car. However, I didn’t feel like I was at a luxury car dealership during my first service appointment last week. I understand we have a pandemic that has scaled things back. However, good customer service should not be one of the things that is skimped on. I had to tell the service coordinator about the coupons sent to me by automation and show her on my phone then she had to take my phone with her to her manager to approve the use of the coupon they sent me! I feel like I received better service at Honda. Disappointed.

Scheduled my annual service check up. Apt was for 1030 am Friday .. drop the car off at 945 they say my apt was for 7 am and they will TRY to squeeze me in. All of this was found out after. 30 minute wait to find someone who could help me. I expressly asked for the car to be ready on or before 230 because I had a commitment at 4 pm for a friend . I also asked if they could not accommodate that time frame to please call me before hand so I can make other arrangements. No call, headed to pick up car and just before we turned onto to Clark rd from I 75 at 245 pm received a call from my “advisor” they couldn’t get to my car today but it will be ready tomorrow. I ask in the morning and they state someone will call. Saturday comes no call by 1045 we drive to pick up car because no one is answering phones at service department. I left two voice mails to please call me. Get to dealership no one available my service advisor isn’t in now I am slightly perturbed. I ask the female service advisor if she could help me and she does .. my BILL comes to 500.00 which is a discussion for another time.. The service manager pops up profusely apologizes contributes this to new person .. tells me my car is on the way and offers to credit me a whopping 50.00 and then disappears .. 20 minutes go by. After my car shows up. Dripping wet I attribute it to the rain about a half prior. But .. all the other cars pulling up are dry, Get in the car drive half way home and notice the car wasn’t cleaned the dash board is dusty from driving with the top down the napkin from coffee and the empty coffee cup still there. The car was dirtier then when I bought it in. I am fuming. Monday morning I get a call from the service advisor apologizing for someone not picking up the phone and calling me to tell me my car was ready Saturday. I explain the wait time the dirty car etc etc. He offers to have the car detailed on his dime. I told him I have to discuss with husband and think about it. My husband wants me to drop the dirty car off IN THE SHOWROOM .. hand them the keys .. then wants me to go down the block and buy a new Audi.! I have had Audis, Porsches, Benz’s and a few other high end luxury cars. I am shocked dismayed and actually highly pissed off! My husband gets better service and attention from the Honda dealer for his truck, we get better service from Mazda for the suv.. This isn’t the first time I have had a disappointing service department apt and service with this dealership. I love my little convertible my c300 is a joy to drive .. but I HATE and hate is strong word I HATE MB ofSARASOTA .. where is there another dealer for service in the area ? I am so upset and so annoyed it is beyond comprehension.. irony at its best. Received an email INVOICE in my junk mail today dated FRIDAY afternoon at 4pm. Car was finished Friday!

I took the car in on a Tuesday. The sign said: "Free written appraisal." I picked the car up on Friday because they kept it to do a regular service, fix the trim on the roof for the third time and fix the sun roof for the second time. I never got an appraisal. Instead, I received a recommendation for $3,000 worth of service. The biggest item on the list was tires - I was told when I bought the car they were run/flats. They weren't. I found out the hard way when I had a flat in the middle of nowhere.

1) Part was supposed to have been ordered & in stock..had to wait 5 days for part to arrive while my car sat in service. 2) Took 1.5 hours for service to handle my APPOINTMENT write service ticket ... inordinate amount of time. 3) Had to call multiple times to get through waiting on hold up to 20 minutes for nobody to pick up the phone. 4) Service person was snarky on the phone 5) Could not get updates on a one day repair that took almost a week. Communication is a real problem with this company. Never going back!

Truly no pressure. Alfredo did not push us towards any particular car, and let us make our own choices, standing by to give us keys for a test drive or to answer questions. I was preapproved, with a very good rate, and Alfredo worked with me to get a better rate. I've never before purchased a CPO vehicle, and the staff at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota took great care of me. My service request was warranty replacement of a molding that FELL off the passenger side door and while the auto was at service, I wanted to take advantage of the 24% off service coupon being offered. I realize that Mercedes Benz service is not the corner $19.95 Quick Lube, but $386.00, ie without coupon, for the same type of service requested is ridiculous. Had a great, albeit lengthy purchase experience with Alfredo P. & Peter B. We're not personal fans of fixed-price shopping, however one piece of the buying puzzle is clearly eliminated. Alfredo found us a great, tenderly aged GLE to replace our ML we outsourced to our son. Great auto at a great price and sporty too. Has some AMG packages that make it quite pleasant to observe. Was not a great experience after the papers were signed. Things that were to have been done before I picked up the vehicle were not. Salesman has yet to call me back plus 10 days and counting with regards to repairing a rim.

Service experience dropped precipitously since my prior visit months ago. Specifically, there was a long wait for my service rep to check me in and a long wait for the loaner car to arrive. Furthermore, the individual who received my car upon arrival seemed to think he was doing me a favor. The service rep was helpful but I must assume there have been major cutbacks in service-related personnel due to "the pandemic", which by the way ended weeks or months ago. It's time for people and businesses to get back to work and stop short-cutting service and blaming "the pandemic". Due to Alfredo, my exceptional salesman at the dealership, I am still committed to this dealership so long as I continue to drive a MB, but everyone needs to stop blaming the China virus and get back to work. No more excuses.

I mentioned in my previous correspondence that I had been contacted mid-day and pressed on a decision on the car. I had already put a deposit on the car with the understanding that would give me time to look at ONE other car I was considering. During the call it was inferred that I was trying to hold this car while continuing to shop for others. I had been quite upfront with both Steve and his direct manager when I was in the shop that I was looking at one other car and wanted to test drive it before making a decision. I feel that my honesty was used to pressure me because one of your employees was interested in buying the car for his personal use. As a customer, I feel it was inherently unprofessional to put me in the situation of competing with an employee for a car I had put a deposit on to validate my interest and give me time to be thorough in my search. During my visit that day and during several interchanges on voice mail and live conversations I was very clear that I had already been approved by Capital One and did not want my credit pulled by any other companies. As a matter of fact I spoke to Stephen when I said I was going to get the car and reminded him of that when he asked me to submit the application on Tuesday evening. I completed everything as requested that night. After not hearing from anyone at your dealership at about 2:30 and spoke with Steven as Capital One had told me they had not received the application. Steven’s response was that they were “too busy” to work on my application. Apparently, they had several customers in the dealership ALL DAY and didn’t have time to work on mine. I indicated to Stephen that I was concerned as Is wanted to make sure everything was in place before coming to finalize the paperwork on the car. I don’t remember his exact words but he told me, not to worry about it and I didn’t need to call Capital One. He said they would get to it when they had time. I asked that since my application had been submitted the night before, I would hope they would be able to work on it soon and asked for the name of the Business Manager. Shortly after this call, I received multiple notifications of credit inquiries hitting my report. I noticed one of them was Ally Financial. I have to say, this made me sick to my stomach. When I called Stephen my calls went to voice mail. I left him a text message and then called Jason Killenbeck (name given to me by Stephen) again, call goes to voice mail. I tried several times to reach them and no responses. Mr. Killenbeck then called back later and indicated that it was an error on his part, but no big deal because they came in with a better deal than Capital One. As a customer, I had been very clear on what I wanted, and it was completely ignored, then brushed off as no big deal. When I took delivery of the car, I had to request the car be cleaned, then ask for the owner's manual. The saleperson previously mentioned put little to no effort in providing service. Overall a bad experience.

Service department tries to upsell everything from the moment you step inside. Service reps are overbooked and don't follow up in a timely manner. My car was filthy when returned to me -- I washed it myself when I got home. Kept my car nearly a week while waiting for a replacement second key fob. Did not tell me why there was a delay. I had to call to check on my car multiple times. Added a phantom battery drain to the diagnostic results which I declined (no check engine lights, no codes, no dash warning, no actual battery drain observed!). An independent mechanic says this drain does not exist. Although the price of the parts and work was fair IMHO, because of the constant upsell, lack of follow up and returning my car to me absolutely filthy with bird droppings (it was clean when I drove it in), I don't recommend this dealership at all and will not be going back.

The efficiency in getting my car right in (with appointment) is what I have come to expect at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. My service advisor Judy Schweitzer has always displayed a high degree of professionalism. She as well, take the time necessary to answer any questions I may have and explaining matters of concern. Let me do say that I appreciate the comfortable lounge area for customers but I will say that there has not been a one single time since I have be coming there, that the tv station is not been tuned to anything but FOX News. I am not lobbying for CNN but given this current political climate, I actually think that it’s insensitive!!!NOT ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS WATCH FOX OR GO ALONG WITH WHAT IS BEING EXPOUSED. A neutral station or HGTV would be more appropriate in my opinion.
